From what I recall, the Dillard/Vic split happened during Vic King's
Great Beowar Long March where he got drunk off his ass and livestreamed himself cranking out $50 commissions for 12 hours a day, every day, for two solid months until his comic reached the $5000 funding goal. This was a great time of watching Vic's grip on reality steadily slip due to a combination of factors, such as stress over money, anxiety over his project funding, sleep deprivation, alcohol abuse and having to mutter into a webcam for hours on end as his only form of human contact. Over this period Vic accrued a sort of menagerie of regulars; a mix of Fandom Rejects refugees looking for somewhere to go after the death of their own movement, CG Slum denizens, and bored unemployed british women who were for some bizarre, I theorize pathological reason, drawn to what they were seeing unfold during what was for them their daytime. Sometimes Vic would slur paranoid accusations towards people in the chat; other times he would aggressively propose marriage to the lardly bints he was streaming with. Vic's increasingly frayed psyche interacting with some of the worst slum denizens no longer welcome on any of the other streams was a good watch, but nothing I'd write up here.
Anyways, as this was happening Jon Dillard (a self declared 'CG Slumlord') was making regular appearances on Vic's channel. At some point during all this, Dillard took it upon himself to be the man who would dash Vic's dreams with pitiless, cold reality whenever the need arose. One such time was when Vic was crowing about how he put Mark Brooks in his place during Brooks' first livestream appearance on mysketchbook360's stream and Dillard said "No you didn't. He made you apologize to him for calling him a tracer. And you did." This was only the first part of a long line of Vic's harmless drunken bullshitting getting checked publicly by Dillard on Vic's own show. Things reached a head on one stream (I forget which) where he accused Dillard of not respecting him as an equal artist. JMoney was also there for some reason. Dillard said flatly by no means are he and Vic equals as artists. "Okay" said Vic, now in the bargaining stage, now offering that he'd be willing to concede that Dillard was better than him in
some aspects of art if he was willing to concede that Vic was better than him in different aspects, like say composition. Dillard said no. Frustrated, Vic started raging about why does he have people on his show if they come there to shit on him to his face. JMoney, to whom shit-testing a creator is perhaps the sweetest vice, postulated the reason being related to Vic's intelligence. Felted at this point, Vic banned both characters from his show for life and holds the grudge to this day, which I'm sure keeps Dillard up at night.
Captain Finity's story is much shorter. He, like every CG newfag, is a self-proclaimed "OGCG" even though nobody has ever heard of him, has no connections and thus must establish himself by hunting for slumtown CG streams where the link to join is publicly shared. Like Vic's. From what I can tell, Finity actually washed up from TUG's juche cult. What happened was he got on Vic's channel once and immediately tried to AMOG Vic, who in turn booted him for being a dick. This created a longlasting emnity that burns to this day and I guess now Finity is spite-spending his money by having Dillard draw this book that has zero marketing platform to sell it.
