As the resident شيخ التوحد, I would like to issue this fatwa on the subject of emu meat:

While emu birds themselves are not necessarily haram, Rubin himself very much is. As an emu, he is ridden with disease, has been modified by hormones, and is horrendously deformed; I doubt this specific emu was ever in any “prime” condition in the past as well. He is unfit for ritual slaughter, and he is far too toxic to allow near other animals slated for slaughter.

He must be quarantined straight away and be mercifully killed, his corpse cremated to prevent the spread of livestock pathogens.
