This shit can also heavily depend on DM. For new players, I encourage Out of Play (OoP) chat. This is where you help explain rules, talk strategy and generally just bullshit while not as your character. You don't want a game full of dick jokes while nothing gets done, but you also don't want new players to not be able to ask for advice or ideas. Balancing a group between seasoned players and newbies can be really difficult.
It also sucks because the DM is doing a really good job of presenting the game and adapting to the party. Not only with good visuals and audio, but also he does a lot of good skill checks and presents some fun obstacles. You never want the group always gliding. Let them relish their triumphs and consistently challenge them them in interesting ways.
I hate to sound MATI, but the only person lying now is him, and the only reason he's getting away with it in Locals is a lot of his new wine mommy audience didn't even watch his old content. His Discord would probably be savaging him right now for saying that.

I don't know if ArttheClown actually has Nick's number or not, but he definitely insinuates it in chat. They seem to interact on a regular basis in text. Then Art and his wife. But if I personally know one of them, it's an absolute no-no.
