Ranarr? I'd have named it Dwarf Weed.

I just started playing again myself today, I always find myself binging the fuck out of the game for a couple months before getting burnt out for a year or so, before the cycle restarts, crazy to think I've been doing this since 2006.I kind of want to play this again. It’s been so long but RuneScape is always going to hold a special place in my heart.
Lol that's exactly the same cycle I keep going through as well since mobile launched. 50m exp is usually where I hit my limit and burn out hard for a year.I just started playing again myself today, I always find myself binging the fuck out of the game for a couple months before getting burnt out for a year or so, before the cycle restarts, crazy to think I've been doing this since 2006.
One thing I have noticed is bond prices went way the fuck up, I had to buy one for 7M, weren't they like 2 something mil a couple years ago? Worth it anyways, been fun working on banging out the last couple levels for 99 Thieving.
This comment convinced me to download the Oldschool RuneScape app yesterday. So glad I did.I just started playing again myself today, I always find myself binging the fuck out of the game for a couple months before getting burnt out for a year or so, before the cycle restarts, crazy to think I've been doing this since 2006.

Honestly I would love to just max an account just to say I have after all these years of playing, which is what I'm slowly working on with my main that I've had since OSRS launched back in 2013. After 99 Thieving and maybe another I would love to do 99 Runecraft but fuck me that's like 400 hours, I wish I had the same dedication/autism as some Runescape YouTubers with their series', like Settled and his Morytania UIM account or his new Tileman mode series (all great videos to watch).Lol that's exactly the same cycle I keep going through as well since mobile launched. 50m exp is usually where I hit my limit and burn out hard for a year.
Ditto. For me it always follows a pattern. I'll get mems and identify some goals i want to reach, full of optimism and excitement to play again. A couple of months will pass and I'll realise just how much time I've wasted. I think about the social element and how fun it was chatting to people and discovering new things in game, except I know about everything now and nobody bothers socialising any more. I'll then bum around f2p worlds entertaining newbies and showing them things for like a week before fucking off from playing again. Listening to yhe old music is making me think of repeating the cycle all over again because I never learn.I just started playing again myself today, I always find myself binging the fuck out of the game for a couple months before getting burnt out for a year or so, before the cycle restarts, crazy to think I've been doing this since 2006.
You can clear out F2P content in less than a week as long as you know what you're doing, and a lot of skills tend to be easier to train with Member's content. Same thing with moneymaking so you can afford Bonds for membership.God help me, I started a fresh character. It does make for something to do while I watch or listen to the pile of things I've been meaning to, at least. I've decided to stick around in F2P until I've done all the quests and gotten my skills to reasonable milestones before moving on to the member's content. Stuff like 55 magic for high alchemy, 60 mining, etc. It's been very nostalgic so far, but I have yet to see what all has changed since my childhood.
Really, it was the introduction of the GE that marked the end of an era. Removing much of the social aspect of trading radically altered the experience and made the game increasingly about optimizing for experience or cash flow.
