Considering Dax is boring and Rekieta's reputation is imploding in real-time, it got me thinking: is there a comprehensive list out there of all the online content creators associated with TDS who became known through the show and became lolcows? You have cases like Ralph and Digi who were already huge degenerates to begin with, but then you have guys like Rekieta who started strong and began slipping hard only a couple months ago, or Vito who probably would have just continued to make lukewarm videos on soy media prior to becoming a show regular and just pivoting his entire shtick to openly defending pedophilia.

I have to conclude that anyone who associates with Dax on a long enough timeline (barring Sean, of course) will eventually see their lives ruined. There's a very clear thruline of Digibro's downfall that starts with Dax introducing him to Riley, who in turn convinced Digi to fully pivot from producing anime videos to god-awful rapping with Riley as his "manager". He and Mint move in with Digi, they form YGG and less than a year later Digi is selling off all his anime merch for pennies on the dollar to live in a car with three other degenerates who all have the same crippling weed addiction he does.

And that's just one example; MintSalad ruining her own life has been talked to death on this thread.

For all the influence Dax's words have over Digi, you'd think that older, debatably wiser, business-oriented Dax would step in and try to advise Digi about killing his cash cow, but because both are libertine coomers who smoke way too much weed (and coincidentally like their girls very young), he basically took a backseat to Riley ruining Digi's life.

Larry’s stories were all “you had to be there” stories that never held up under any kind of scrutiny. It was bullshit but it was harmless bullshit. The podcast equivalent to the old guys bullshitting about the largest fish they ever caught.

What's the evidence Sean isn’t a trainwreck? He doesn’t share much on the show but that just means he’s just smart enough to shut up but absence of proof isn’t proof of absence. Anyone willing to associate with Maddax the Ironic Pedophile should be considered suspicious.

Sean used to be a pretty bad alcoholic who came from a family of alcoholics. I don't think he's given us many stories, but it always sounded to me like Dick was the only friend to stick around while he was ruining his life. That's a good way to earn someone's loyalty.

The landing page at backed.by (the basic info about it) seems to be wordpress, but the actual guts of the subscription site does not. See /discover or any other creator vanity url. That's all next.js/react.
