During her most recent members stream, Mumei pretty much confirmed that she has insomnia. She only gets about two to three hours of sleep most nights and sometimes stays awake for almost two days before feeling tired. She's looking into seeing a doctor to help fix her sleep and she will try to take a semester off from college to alleviate some stress. It wasn't all bad news though. Mumei also mentioned that she is trying to set up a long overdue drawing stream with Ina.

  • We'll have to add her to the list of holo girls with health issues; she hasn't been sleeping well, but doesn't think that it's Hololive-related as she has struggled with that since age 9; lately it got worse though and she feels that she needs to tackle the issue
  • The current plan is to take a semester off from civ duties since Hololive is more flexible when it comes to working around her messed up sleep schedule; she is not entirely sure whether that is going to be possible though

What even is her degree going to be in? Anxiety? She should switch to online classes or something as she streams, she isn't even utilizing the secondary purpose of higher degrees most likely: networking. Wishing her well anyways.

Zutomayo (the artist that did this song with Calli that's been pretty big in Japan lately)

Had a concert tonight at a pretty massive venue and brought Calli out to perform their song with them. It's kind of quiet on announcing anything (they're doing another show tomorrow and Japanese autism about "spoilers" asked that people don't spoil the setlist or guest appearances but a few people on twitter did so anyway) but just seeing some of the pictures of the crowd size safe to say it's probably the biggest audience Calli's ever performed live for.

Today I took a CT scan to measure for pain care radiation therapy to enable nursing at home. It took a lot of time to find the best position to maintain the posture during the treatment while the patient could hardly move his/her body, but with the help of the technicians, we succeeded in taking the image. Now, please keep your fingers crossed that the radiotherapy treatment that will start tomorrow will be effective, as it will make things better and increase the chances of a miracle. I won't get my hopes up. I don't care if I can't move my lower body. I don't care if I can't taste. Give me a little more life

I can't imagine the heartbreak of watching her brother just waste away and then pass like that. How cruel.

Interesting. I wonder if this is the first "real person" appearance specifically under a VTuber or Hololive persona (she's appearing as Calli and not DEMONDICE). Can't tell if it's her on the left side in the first pic. The right pic is I think the band's mascot from the back.

I'd imagine they'd go the zero backlight route like with other virtual groups/singers (including ZUTOMAYO) who don't want to reveal their identities, but you can see some lighting in the second pic so idk maybe they trusted no one would sneak a close up pic/recording. Or if they release an official live recording they'll purposely avoid showing her face.

I think there were some roommate pointers that she was enrolled for Marine Biology, but in the light of her revealing that she had a prior stint at college/university, that may have been what she dropped out of and it's something else now. She hasn't given any specific hints, as far as I know, but there have been some comments from her that point towards it being something at least STEM-adjacent. Probably more the science end of that spectrum. Which would fit Marine Biology...

Given how opposed her roommate is with whales, marine biology is a pretty safe bet. She has also hinted that the job she wants in her field doesn't pay very much and it turns out that the average annual salary for a marine biologist is only about $45,000.

having skimmed through the comments from the show I could find on the matter (a lot of folks aren't saying much because they outright asked that nothing be said until after tonights show which she'll be at again) it seems like she appeared on a screen, specifically one person was talking about a big CRT (which would make sense given Zutomayo's tour has a retro-gaming theme going on for it) But from both the comments about her being responsive to the crowd and also sticking around on screen to hype the rest of the set, as well as Calli in her members stream a few hours later talking about having been out doing "something she can't talk about yet or she'll get bonked really hard" and saying she'd be doing the same "big thing I can't talk about yet" today, it does seem like she was genuinely at the show performing live.

Likely the pics posted aren't from a time she was on stage though so anything seen there is probably not going to have anything related to her there, their song together was a secret surprise that was done in the encore as a surprise to fans so 80% of the show she'd not be present, just for the last few encore songs.
