Tanning and Sun Exposure - Sexy tan aka 3 years of your life removed

Spray tans are much less harmful and if you don't try to look as dark as a person of chicken and waffles, you won't be orange. I've done it a few times when I didn't want to stick out in a bathing suit next to my friends. I look like a highlighter on the beach otherwise. Pay extra for the moisturizing spray, too. It's worth it.
I prefer being pale though. If you have an even skin tone, I think it looks nice. I choose skin care over slapping color over it to mask flaws.

I took a south Florida vacation in 2021 and though I tried to keep suntan lotion on I still got fucking cooked, like one night it literally felt like my face had been microwaved, painful as fuck.

Maybe I just needed to be more careful, but I enjoyed all the half naked women, so there's that.

Sunlight isn't bad in itself, it's how the body makes vitamin D, so we're obviously meant to get some of it.
If you're tanning that means you're getting too much sunlight and your body is trying to stop itself from getting cancer.
Don't tan, it's a psyop by gays and other women to make you less attractive.

I'm of fair skin burn easily in the sun so always wear long pants, long sleeves and a hat when the sun is at it's strongest.

if you ever did paint work outside on old houses you must have noticed that areas that don't catch sunlight hold up better.

The Sun is a source of life on Earth and is also constantly shooting death rays that are damaging things like your DNA, and have anti-bacterial properties (ie kill tiny living things).
We must thank our Atmosphere for protecting us against it.

You don't have to be heliophobic about it, but tanning is stupid and your should avoid laying under the sun for long hours.

Tanning is probably bad for a woman's health, but I like a girl with a nice tan and they live way too long anyway. Do you know how much longer white women live than black men? Tan for equality. Or equity. Whichever word makes you want to do dumb shit.

Fake tans contains an antioxidant and can supplement protecting against the sun.

Personally, I like to be as pale as I can. As even the littlest of tan is harmful and cause skin ageing in the long run.I do feel anxious if I go outside without a good layer of SPF (people in general use way too little), when the sun is up of course.

If other people want to destroy their skin for short term happiness. I mean, tanning is like when you cook chicken skin. It gets tan.
It's very fucking charming to look like a cooked piece of meat.

Easy there. Anxiety shortens your lifespan, too.

Tanning beds are retarded. So is lying around in the sun needlessly.

Sunshine is good for you, if you're living above 45°N and work indoors you're probably vitamin d deficient.

Get some sun and nature exposure by exercising outdoors. Preferably in the morning soon after getting out of bed. Just don't sit around in the sun.

I am very lucky I didn't get into tanning bed culture. 70% of the girls in my high school graduating class very avid tanning bed users in the late 2000's. Tanning bed session packages were also very cheap here in Canada so I was tempted to try and being a fair skinned person I felt pressure to change my skin tone. I did one session and never went back. Found the experience unpleasant.

I haven't had one skin cancer scare whereas those girls who I went to school with have had basal cells and other skin abnormalities found by dermatologists. I don't even have any moles either. I made the right choice. I still get natural sun but take precautions.

Tanning beds are stupid but you ain't stopping me from catching that sunshine in summer, ideally by the sea next to a palm tree. That kind of deep peace is what I live for. I'm more than willing to exchange those 3 years for it.

I regularly lie under the sun in the summer.
I dont know what the big fuss is about.
If I die I die.
Well with a couple of exceptions, we all die!

The sun is good for you, light sunburn is not as dangerous as a lack of light. If you get burnt badly or regularly you might need to tweak your diet or take breaks, I dunno. What I do know is tanning beds are stupid for most people, we can just take vitamin D supplements and get as much sun as possible in winters.

Agreed
But I am seeing a certain kind of american autism shining through.

For some reason descendants of the anglos have an innate fear of the sun.
(Joking of course but some americans really hate the idea of tanning the natural way)

A lot of recent consensus seems to be that tanning is universally bad and the sun is literally a deadly laser.
Yeah the recent consensus also is that the covid vaccine is safe and effective and that transwomen are women. So the "consensus" has no value.

By applying common sense, I don't think the sun is bad for you. In fact if you don't have enough sun-skin exposure, you're in for a bad time, partially (but not only) because of lack of vitamin D.
Like all things, there must be a limit where it becomes counter-productive. Burning is over the line, but maybe over-tanning isn't a good idea either.
We won't know for sure so I just don't avoid the sun, and don't act like a rotisserie chicken either. That's how everyone did it until recently, and it worked just fine.

PS: Do not use sun screen, it's bad for you.

Who doesn't think this is a good idea?

We should all strive to actualise our inner Tyrone or Sinequa!

But truthfully I can't really help but be tanned given that I'm literally a white dude in Africa so as little as 15 minutes a day is enough to get me a light tan, even with sunblock. Generally though it's bad for the skin, so moderation is advisable, even dark skin will become sensitive after too much time in the sun (although it's more a matter of drying out than burning up).
