I fucking hate YouTubers so much. I hate them because they lack any balls. Every single one tip toes around this bloated company like a battered housewife treading on egg shells around their unpredictable drunk husband, it's pathetic. Whenever I bring this you people immediately point how YouTube has them by the balls but they forget that this relationship goes both ways. Without content creators to create content then YouTube becomes a dead platform, it's already barely making enough money to stay afloat and is really dependent on a hand full of it's most popular creators. It's not like any of these people on any side of the pollical spectrum are all that happy with the current YouTube situation. They all want the same changes (for the most part) albeit for different reasons but absolutely non of them will do anything about it. To use the housewife analogy, they could leave this shitty relationship and sure that means uprooting their lives and potentially making things worse but they'll at least have some dignity. Or they could take action and shoot the bastard dead.

I think it's about time we had our own little Red October, it's time for the digital proletariat seize the means of production. Although the trannies would probably ruin that too. Every time I try to think about how to fix the Internet, the troon question is at the forefront of my mind.

edit: RE: the more recent stream with Tom, I just finished it while I was doodling and I'm surprised by how accommodating he is to Keffals and his ilk considering how much his gf (at least, I'm pretty sure it was his gf?) got torn apart over a stupid fucking meme where Tom's GF joked about being his MtF transition and did a side by side of their photos - the joke being all the physical similarities they share. Apparently, troons got super mad about it, I would have thought the treatment they got would have dissolved all of Tom's good favour towards them.

Conversely, might have just traumatised him to silence, because fuck dealing with all that I guess. Which... actually makes me feel sorry for the guy. What a sad state of affairs.

The thing I liked about this stream the most is that you can tell that Null has last played Minecraft way back in 2010-2011 before Beta 1.8 and Release 1.0 happened.

-Does not sprint at any point of the stream, this feature was first introduced in Beta 1.8 on September 14th 2011, this is widely recognized as the breaking point between old and new Minecraft
-He had a vague idea how to make a crafting bench and a pickaxe, but instead he at one point made bark blocks which were properly added in 1.13 and he had a vague idea of how the pickaxe recipe was shaped, but first he attempted to use wooden planks and wood blocks to make it
-He was mining a 2 block wide staircase down which is a legitimate way of mining, meaning he still remembered some strats from way back when, plus he mentioned "Diggy Diggy Hole", so I assume he also watched some Yogscast back in the hayday to remember that obscure reference

tl;dr Null is an absolute boomer who has not been in touch with Minecraft since 2011 and the stream really shows that.

This stream was extremely interesting in numerous ways. I've been following Tom for a few years since I really like the style of his videos. It was still a bit odd to see him stick to the pronoun thing so much since I vividly remember Tom making jokes about the USS Liberty Incident and other edgy stuff a few years back.

I don't believe Tom is a complete idiot as some people in this thread think. He definitely knows more than the usual zoomer, but I think he either doesn't get some of the stuff that was discussed or at least refuses to accept certain realities. To play devil's advocate a bit, I understand some of the reasons why Tom does the stuff he does. He is a 20 year old in an extremely fortunate situation, making bank off doing videos about stupid shit on the Internet while still being able to enjoy some of the finer moments in life. Tom doesn't want this (in many ways) dream job to just disappear, so he's willing to make certain concessions to keep up that lifestyle. Perhaps he is surrounded by a lot of terminally online losers who are like Keffals. Hanging around shitty people can really cloud your vision and make you believe stuff that you normally wouldn't.

But all good things must come to an end, eventually Tom will be forced to grow up and accept that life is unfair. Everyone is at one point or another. For Josh it might have been running the forum. For me it was being a janny for a very shitty community that was full of backstabbing retards and eventually troons. For Tom it might be when his ad revenue dries up or one of the retards he talks to fuck him over. Only time will tell.

However I wish him all the best. I believe deep down he's a good kid that just doesn't know any better or has been led astray by mentally ill people online. I definitely see certain aspects of him in myself from a few years back, and if I was able to grasp some of the unfortunate truths of this world then I think so will he.

Josh was fun but the Turkey was like watching paint dry, and Minecraft is the concept of watching paint dry as a game.
I understand why Josh doesn't play it normally.

Tom is just a product of his time so you cant really blame him for having more "lefty" takes and supporting cetin movements. he also likes the money he makes and afraid to lose it all which, i can also understand. if i made that much money when i was at his age, i would do everything to protect my bottom line. he's kinda brave for talking with null in public at all.

to be honest, the fact alone that he was a teenager suddenly making more money in a month than his dad makes in a year and he hasn't gone completely insane and/or gotten addicted to drugs shows he's got a better head on his shoulders than most his age (and as was alluded to, a good financial advisor in his close family)

there's still plenty of time for things to go downhill, though
