I honestly can't believe no one has posted this yet, so rate me appropriately if I missed it, but the state department has updated their deaths of US citizens in foreign countries for the first half of 2022. As you can see below, there are a number of deaths listed for Jan-June 2022, but still zero posted from June 2021-December 2021, almost as if no Americans died in Japan during that period of time. See for yourself. I had to select "JAPAN" all caps for 2022 and "Japan" for 2021.

Yep, you're so damn late it hurts.

Yeah I know about this. This previous post you linked does not show any deaths in 2022 or post Near's "death" though (as shown in picture 1 in my previous post). It only shows no deaths in 2021 after May.

My point is that there are now confirmed deaths posted by the US state department that occurred after June 27th, 2021. Meaning the argument that the department just hadn't caught up doesn't fly anymore. As far as I know, before this, no deaths had been posted on that website after that date. Did we have any confirmation of American deaths in Japan in 2022 at all before this? I feel like this is something or I'm retarded. :(

Crossposting new information gotten from retarded furry drama where zoophiles accuse each other of killing Byuu.

We finally have the logs of the original pre-suicide messages with timestamps and confirmation that the last message has been sent to altright diaper-loving babyfur Blumier, just as was described in his telegraph post [archive].
These logs confirm Byuu's last message's timestamp to be 01:46 UTC. This puts Blum in the Central Time Zone (UTC-6), which is quite expected, and puts Byuucide into the late morning of 11 AM. Everyone is welcome to re-read the beginning of the thread to confirm/disprove Kiwi-timeline.
exportlmao.png

Another (mildly) interesting point is that the furry accused of Byuucide is a pro-Kiwi ex-friend of Byuu who got into a slapfight with Blumier based on Kiwi info, which in turn put stress on Byuu. This is as autistic as it sounds and I genuinely do not recommend reading too much into it if you value your brain cells.

Lina *is* Hector playing his AGP fetish with an anime girl rig and bad falcetto. Earlier on, someone here watched the stream and took the note of this Lina logging into local account of Hector on the same machine, something that supposedly separate developers would never do.

I think it's more likely that this "Lina" actually is Byuu living with Hector and has assumed a new identity right before our eyes (a reincarnation of sorts, typical when one deletes fucking everything, and of course as the opposite sex so he can finally feel feminine). The writing style/pattern looks so much like Byuu's at first glance as well, just look at the sentence structure and cringe emoticon usage where he pretends to be cute and harmless, but in actuality, he's a devious fag; I am skeptical that Hector could become such an expressive polar opposite that's so much like Byuu, thus I've come to the conclusion that it simply is Byuu playing out *his* AGP fetish right in front of us while Hector takes care of him. Too funny.

It *would* be the perfect cop-out for Byuu once he inevitably fucks up. Trooning out is the silver bullet to avoid all criticism.
"Really, you think that guilting and yanking the chain of his massive audience isn't a justifiable side effect of him wanting to masturbate in women's clothing? Fuck off." *thread locked* *hardware banned from reddit*

Opening Hector up to potential legal liability makes me want to find Byuu that much more. If he's out there, he will pop up eventually. Such is the nature of the cow.

It seems byuu deserved all the hate ...

Okay, I worked out a method for HLSL shaders for BSNES.

Go here and download the shader pack I compiled. Unzip d3d9.dll to the BSNES emulator directory. Unzip ONE shader entitled "fakehdr.fx" to the same BSNES directory (I put all the shaders in different groups to make them easier to identify). Make sure you have Direct3D rendering enabled and thats all. I only tested this with BSNES 0.17 and all my shaders (everything except the cel shading and HDR shader is my code) should work fine.

And here's one shader which I managed to write in a couple of minutes:

It might not look like much, but in action, its trippy has hell. Its a improvement on the "Waves" shader I got in the pack right now tho...

I'm actually rather disappointed by this whole thing. I had assumed it would be as simple as there just being D3D shaders and GL shaders, and they would just work across the board. The reality is quite different.

Direct3D:
- Supports HLSL and Cg. mudlord's d3d9.dll trick does not work on any of the six computers I own (8800 GTS, 7950 GT, nVidia Vanta, ATI X300LS, ATI X600 SE, ATI Mobility Radeon somethingorother)
- Overly complicated, and Windows only

OpenGL:
- Supports GLSL, ARB and Cg.
- GLSL is easy, but requires OpenGL 2.0; missing by default on Windows (ships with 1.1, though video card drivers always have 2.0)
- GLSL has different bugs in every implementation; most shaders do not work at all, especially on Linux
- ARB requires crazy function pointer handles, and is already deprecated
- Cg is also very old and deprecated, also requires use of extensions; shaders are very uncommon for this

Direct3D and OpenGL:
- SM 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.3, 2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1, ... they can't make up their minds how to design a fixed standard that doesn't get usurped within 3 months' time

Ultimately, this is all bullshit. Maybe it's better to just say fuck it and multi-thread the video rendering to use another CPU core. Pure C++ is much more powerful, and much more stable, than this shader bullshit anyway. Very few single core CPUs get 60fps with bsnes anyway.

Maybe someone can describe 2xSaI's algorithm to me so I can cleanroom implement it. I'll then release my implementation as public domain so everyone can use it.

Shit...It should work on any card that supports:

* Shader Model 2.0
* Multiple render targets (MRT)

I find it completely odd it doesnt work with you with that 8800GTS.

Oh well, if you wanna fuck the idea, its your choice.
Same goes for GLSL shader implementation.

But then, mudlord's solution is genius as it is universal to all D3D9 applications. I think it would be best to keep it external, and perhaps I can link directly to his page on the bsnes download page.

And in that case, I'll write up a small homepage for it on my serverspace. I'm sure Chrono Archangel won't mind (plus he gave me a super cool project proposal with the GC emu Gekko, so im on very good terms with him).

Yeah, it's extremely bizarre. I move the fakehdr.fx file to the same directory as bsnes.exe and d3d9.dll, and bsnes just closes as soon as it opens ... I only see the window appear for half a second or less. No error message, nothing.

A real shame, I really wanted to try out the wave shader :(

nVidia Vanta = Win2k
nVidia 8800 GTS = WinXP SP2 / x86
nVidia 7950 GT KO SC = WinXP SP2 / x86
nVidia 6200 onboard = Ubuntu only, can't test
ATI Radeon X300 LS = Windows Vista / x86
ATI Radeon X600 SE = WinXP SP2 / x86
ATI Radeon Mobility ???? = WinXP SP2 / x86

Well, the OpenGL version is just out. It isn't going to work worth a damn on Linux, and there's little I can do about that.

I really don't see it as being worthwhile to spend a lot of time implementing a shader loading subsystem when it will only be utilized by Direct3D9 and nothing else :(

Without having to decipher a wall of techspeak, it appears byuu was shitting on this guy just for presenting emulator work to him that he was doing for free?

The zip folder has approximately 100 posts by and related to mudlord (search the main HTML file for mudlord). mudlord appears to be a good guy wanting to contribute to byuu's emulator.
Another interesting search is for the word shit. It displays various posts by byuu pretending to be the Linus Torvalds of SNES emulators.
