Well this stream completely blows up my previous "Chantal's Marriage Timeline". She must have forgotten that she told us she went through some loopholes to get a Civil ID to marry Salah... Because in this one she AFFIRMS all she has is a tourist visa.

Yep, it cost about that much for us too, the thing is they want that money upfront too. There is no financial plan with them. So the idea is that Chantal has $8k to just fork over in fees. That is just one element too. I could not work for 12 months whilst papers cleared so you have to have that kind of money spare in advance or a job that allows remote. There are planes and moving etc, yes this is not applied but it's costly. It's funny - I had a superfat relative I helped do end-of-life care for, and he also got the travel bug as his health deteriorated. I felt then, and feel like it applies to Chinny too, that traveling helps them delude themselves that they AREN'T at death's door. Granted, my relative was actually more disgusting than Chantal by this point, but still - it's like they think the fact that they got from point A to point B proves they're fine and healthy and vital. Guarantee Chinny will use "I'm not THAT sick obviously if I can do International travel" for a long time after this.

The fact that she has to be carted around and takes up two seats and could have had another clot at any time is immaterial. It is all part of her total denial of reality.

Earlier in the thread there was a discussion about what happens when a foreigner dies in Kuwait. Even after my best attempts at searching, I couldn't find it. (This thread needs its own Advanced Search.) But the summary is:

(1) Embalming and cremation are illegal in Kuwait.


(2) A Civil ID is required to be buried in Kuwait.

So having to get human remains shipped back to Canada ASAP would be a pain in the ass under normal circumstances, but for a 400+ pound bloated corpse it would be a nightmare.

It’s not that unusual to have a body on a flight, up to 500lbs is like 6-9k internationally. I think they have to be preserved, It’s a lot of paperwork and it’s given to a “known shipper” aka to funeral home, and they put them in the cargo bay lol. I bet the paperwork is a nightmare between countries and someone’s gotta claim the body unless they just bury her in a trash heap in the desert.
