Just a little quibble but I'm not too fond of the current title. "___________ Derangement Syndrome" was fine when it was for the Trump thread because it was an already well-established term so it had some sort of semi-official status, and it wasn't even that thread's original name. Then there was "Biden Derangement Syndrome" which was a pathetic NO U seethe (so a perfect descriptor for the whole thread) but at least was consistent in keeping with Trump - and the originator of the term, Bush - because they were all U.S. presidents. I don't really want to see it become a generic catch-all for every and all time autistic retards get riled up over somebody existing. Something more general like "J.K. Rowling hatedom" with a more funny subtitle than we currently have ("becuase thirty year old books aimed at preteens are a political statement" or something like that) would be more to the point, it encapsulates all the insanity in the OP without the reader needing to know some political in-joke.

Otherwise it's a fantastic and hilarious OP; a thread for these spastics and their hilarious reactions to being betrayed by TERF mommy is long overdue, and I'm glad that you've touched on the right-wing dumbasses of yesteryear as well.

It's also not just Rowling they have a problem with, they see anyone who is even mildly sympathetic towards Rowling or believes she should be able to speak her mind without receiving death threats as a traitor to the trans community. Especially the actors associated with the franchise.

Rowling lives in Scotland, which is UK ground zero for trans insanity as it is fully supported by the devolved Scottish Government, specifically the Scottish National Party (SNP) who are pro-Scottish independence.

Rowling previously pissed off the SNP the last time they held a referendum on independence by declaring her support for the Union (ie Scotland remaining in the UK).

I've heard the Harry Potter fanfiction scene must contort itself or work with alternative universes to make a compelling story, due to the poor writing of the novels, and I'm inclined to agree with this. Perhaps the worst example of poor writing are the time tuners or whatever that all get destroyed later on.

This looks to be a good thread, and I particularly liked the highlight on the hypocrisy of the book burnings, since supposedly only silly Christians still burn books. It's delightful.

Anyway, I can only meaningfully contribute with some spells, since they're just Latin:

I wholly agree with this. I'm not arriving at a good title, but something like Rowling and the Death Eaters or anything else that would use her work to allude to trannies could work. Perhaps Azkaban could be mutated into something like always-a-man, but that's not very good.

Alright, OP is updated.
As a warning, some browsers (I use Opera) have mouse gestures on by default where a right click + short left drag results in going back a page. I was not aware and it made me lose more than an hour of progress. I would hate for it to happen to someone else.

Use a real editor to then copy and paste it. I use GNU Emacs for this, and I do it with damn near every post I write anywhere. Almost every time I don't, Firefox finds a way to lose my work, no matter how little. I write the BB codes by-hand, since I'm too lazy to write or find an Emacs mode for this, but that's not necessary. Just write most of it in a real editor and then make the final touches in the post box. Since the formatting here is done with such codes, it's also possible to compose them in the post box and then copy and paste them into a real editor. I also do this on some websites with very complex formatting options. Let this lost work be a lesson to learn a proper tool.

Cancel Culture is focussed mainly on fiction directed to children because troons and SJWs in fact are whiny little kids locked inside deformed bodies, trying to

They want to maintain the symbiotic relationship to a franchise that helped them cope with failure as kids and is expected to still do that job for them as adult.

Writing it in another document then copying and pasting should help.

What amuses me most about this is how the dynamics have stayed exactly the same over the past 20 years but the targets have changed. Harry Potter was the pinnacle work of postmodern narcissism in which the protagonist is intrinsically distinguished from the collective. Back in the day, Harry Potter was the cheap, easy to consume material to slake the thirst to be unique, to believe yourself a "wizard" while leaving behind those pesky "muggles." To be in with the wizard in group of other so-very-specials was the way to escape being part of the out-group and mundane. JK Rowling directly stoked and profited off of this, and as such it is amusing that she finds herself confused when presented with this same dynamic, except under the aegis of "gender identity." The wackoes fleeing responsibility have a new umbrella now and they are not very happy she pointed out how loony it was. Giving her credit, the Potterheads were not as sexually hazardous as troons, but it's very strange that she does not seem to appreciate or acknowledge the undercurrent of desire that drives the phenomena to derangement.
