Jared Leto in Tron is the equivalent of putting Drake in Robocop. They’re putting teenage sex symbols who are getting older in already established movie properties and it’s getting lazy, in my opinion.

It just sucks that Jeff Daniels can’t do anymore Tron material since he’s getting older and had to deal with multiple ailments over the years, including a recent cancer diagnosis that he actually beat.

Whatever happened to the little coonaid? Did that come out and go?
nope, that's still on its way in May

Can't wait to see what thayt devolves into...

As for the older topic of lasting power. Steven Universe is only getting stuff because of the lgbtmapbbq horseshit, not because it's that popular. Yes, deranged Tumblr types fucking worship it, but kids did not watch it, at all. Gumball has a lot more of a lasting impression for a kid, and will stick with a lpt more of them than the weirdos that want rock lesbians.

Also, unlike Sonic, it's highly doubtful it will get any sort of consistent content, so will just die out once the new lgbtmapbbq idol comes out and the troons chase the new set of dangling keys.

Gravity Falls has small footprint but I think it will be a very dedicated one. Mostly because it's one of the very few shows that told it's story and stuck to it. No improvised season 3, no spinoff about the adventures of waddles, no timeskip with weird teenager dynamics. Just 2 very focused seasons and done. That it also came out before full degeneracy got it's brainrot on everything also gives it a "hey, remember when cartoons were fun and had adventure and weren't about oppressed poc or sucking dick?", nostalgia for younger viewers.

I will fight this a bit

I worked at a camp for most of my summers during college and high school, and there was always kids who had seen and liked Steven. Hell, I was in middle school when the show aired, and there was a following in school. If Steven was just LGBTQ shit, it probably wouldn’t have gotten video games and merch, and a spot in WB’s mega crossover.

Here is the truth about Steven. When it first aired, people were super into it. I remember animation community heads like PieGuyRulz and Enter touting it around as the Adventure Time killer for years, even RebelTaxi had to cave. The show had a good first season and a strong as hell second one given the Invasion arc, where Peridot came to Earth. After that, it was a continuous up and down in quality, making it into the hated show of today. Unlike shows like The Owl House, Steven had real potential to be good, hell even the touted killer, as it had an interesting narrative. Because of this, it has an extreme hatedom and fandom that far surpasses the usual cal-arts shit.

Steven will be remembered for many things. It will be the animator king it never was and the largest examples of what the 2010s are both in terms of culture and cartoon culture. Besides TTG hate, Steven was the hill the cartoon community decided to die on, it will hold a legacy for that reason.

It's definitely no Avatar (in many different ways), but the fact people are still discussing it (both positively and negatively) 3+ years after it ended has to count for something. It's actually the tenth anniversary of the show this year. I wonder if there's new content in the works?

It is more like a Korra, which, years after its release, became even more popular than it was during release and now thrives with comics and spots in Nick crossovers.

Also, if we are adding Nick shows to the remembered list, Korra, TMNT 2012, and The Loud House would be on it.

You just know there's gonna be ugly ass troons in this. The second was just fine and ended well but as usual they can't leave the IP alone.
They went into Tron 2 wanting to crap out movies. They set up stuff and got named actors for groundwork for the franchise. They didnt get cillian murphy to show up for 5 mins for fun. Tron was Disney trying to get boys ips to get the boy market. But Tron 2 did meh not flop but not great. And then they bought Marvel to handle boys ips. And later Star Wars. No justification to move on Tron anymore. Also remember that Tron 2 was the og rememberberry movie that came before force awakens

And now theyve let feminists try to force marvel and star wars into a womens franchises so hard that boys are growing indifferent to those franchises and looking to anime even older ones like naruto instead.

So now they need boy ips again.

Jare Leto could probably get the visuals of tron right and pick someone good for the sound track at least.
