But yes excelsiorlef is right, if I was a producer looking to endanger my crew and have one of them shot and killed I probably wouldn't want to go to New Mexico because they won't let me get away with it. What a slippery slope of a precedent to set!

I like how it doesn't even register on xer's mind that the crew members are also human beings - that movies don't just consist of the actors in them. Maybe he might think for a second that they constantly get treated like shit by these kind of celebrities on set all the time and now one of these rich snobs fucking shoots one of their own dead for no reason that they might feel some type of way. Oh btw they don't talk about this on the coverage of this but in the industry now everyone that worked on that set is blacklisted from working period (and has been since it happened, no one will touch them). Not only did baldwin shoot and kill a woman out of neglience, he put like 100 people out of work - even the fucking caterer can't get hired on movie sets anymore.

This is a pretty straightforward 1%er killing a 99%er and wanting to not be held accountable, where's the consistency? Do these people only have selective morals for people that are on their side?

Just maybe, maybe there might be more details about this case than the DA is revealing and there is a reason why Baldwin was the only one charged. It's not like New Mexico wanted this media circus of attention that's sure to come now, they already had massive amounts of hollywood productions moving to set up shop there and billions of dollars of studios being built. They stand the most to lose from this turning into a huge rigamarole. Maybe there's something else going on with this case that has to do with Baldwin specifically.
