Sometimes I look at Japan's problems and how they seem to so closely mirror emerging American ones, and it makes me wonder how they would've turned out had they not become so tied to the US and Western values after WWII.
Maybe it would've happened either way, but honestly the idea of the bombs makes me feel less guilty than the idea of exporting America-brand misery and social turmoil onto other countries.

While nobody would find any fault with a manga artist drawing his characters and posting them to social media, Miyajima is more than a little obsessed with Chizuru, the heroine of Kanojo, Okarishimasu. If you look through his Twitter account, you'll see that his posts consist of mainly artwork of her, which is a little weird considering there's three other girls in that manga who are supposed to be just as important as her.

What gets really weird is when he started to draw pictures of her in real-life photos he took of his home and other places.

The worst example I could find (that's a picture of his own bathroom):

Japan is full of weird waifufag schizos, and this normally wouldn't be anything remarkable, but this is not your typical shut-in who will never feel the touch of a woman in his life. This is a near 40 year old, successful artist with a real-life wife and child who is posting his deranged fantasies about the character he created for all the world to see.

There are so many weirdos on JP art Twitter that they could honestly have their own thread, but never in my life have I seen a successful, world-famous mangaka act like this online.

From what I've heard chizuru is based on his wife who is really shy and dislikes having any picture taken so it could be that he's playing the waifufag act while proclaiming how much he loves his wife. Or he could be doing it to stir shit up in the English side of the internet

I doubt it in all honesty, the guy's been doing this for months now and is showing no signs of stopping. It's a lot of effort on his part just to fuck with the English internet if it were true. Even assuming it's just a weird way of proclaiming his love for his wife there are far better ways of communicating this like just straight up telling his wife he love her without doing all this weird shit. I would still absolutely call it cow behavior regardless.

My thoughts are is that if you love your wife and want to make a character based on her, you shouldn't make the character one who sells herself for money and still hasn't given her love interest a straight answer on whether she likes him or not after he's sacrificed his time, effort, and everything but the shirt off his back to make her dreams come true.

Haruba Negi based Yotsuba off his wife and he doesn't draw her in compromising poses over pictures of his home. I think Reiji's just a schizo.

True. Then again it could have started as a joke then seeing the numbers go even up for the drama the publishers could have made him continue. After all the publisher's behind seven deadly sins are the reason why meliodas is such a fucking cooler nowdays even though he wasn't meant to be one. Tbh we'll never know for sure

Since Kamen Rider Black’s actor was mentioned earlier in this thread, I figured it was time to mention another minor Masked Cow.

Shunsuke Takasugi (高杉 俊介, 高杉 俊价) born Naoki Iwata (岩田 直樹) was the actor who portrayed the tokusatsu superhero Kamen Rider Super-1 from 1981. He was also a singer at one point (what he wanted to do to begin with) but many sources seem to leave it as a footnote in his career.

Super-1 was pretty much the only prominent role he had. But instead of being like Hiroshi Fujioka and riding out his Kamen Rider fame, he used it to scam fans out of nearly 450k USD. He would tell people that the Super-1 Belt (an important prop and staple of the series) which Toei had so graciously given him after the show concluded (they probably didn’t) had been stolen.

By who you may ask? Those dirty dang yakuza. And they were holding the belt for ransom!

So once that was found out, he ran and is still currently missing in action.

I saw a video of him and how he goes about creating his manga. I didn't know that he was the creator of that series until way later and he seemed normal in the video.

Speaking of manga authors, this one took his fetish too far and literally became the girlfriend. He created a manga about a guy that falls for a cross-dresser in an all male school. Despite the premise, it wasn't as degenerate as you'd expect, but there was a sudden hiatus after this chapter...

Most of the lolcows we have seem to associate themselves or gotten themselves started with something that came out of the Land of the Rising Sun. Whether it be anime, video games or NEET culture.

I'd imagine the main reason is because from my understanding Japanese internet users tend to do a much better job overall at their OpSec so actually digging up info on any of them is a lot harder.

That and the pretty obvious language barrier is probably why you don't see much of it.
