Since people have reading comprehension issues:
Shut the fuck up about stickers. I will seriously start getting the mod bat out for complaining about this shit like fucking children.
Now its nice and big so people who pass up my posts will notice, so I don't want to hear any shit if you got smacked. After that bit of business, I'm looking at this from a clinical perspective. First up, to the West, Ukraine is two things:
1) Boomers in governments upset they never got a proper war with Russia now have the proxy war they've always wanted with limited risk of nuclear attacks
2) A corporate defense contractors wet dream to field test all their pretty toys to sell to people.
That's it. Nobody gives a shit about Ukraine and the appetite for it has quickly dried up. Every fucking time I see some faggot hoisting a Ukraine flag I want to wipe my ass with it, because it is unbelievably fake. This is not a moral war in the West. Yes, Ukrainians are defending against aggressors. But this shit happens all the time and we don't intervene. And there are much worse wars going on right now, like what the Saudis are doing to Yemen.
The goal of the West is to bleed Russia for as long as possible, and that time limit is running out. Maybe the generals in the West are so retarded they think they're going to get Crimea back, but I don't think that was even on the table.
Here's what I've inferred: Ukraine was ready to do a peace treaty at the beginning but talks disintegrated once Boris Johnson talked to Zelinsky, which is the whole 'not another inch' policy comes in. Ukraine also preformed better than anyone predicted early on. However, I never thought this was winnable at any point by Ukraine. The only way they could get anything was a pyrrhic victory from Russia while keeping stable as a nation.
Now, there is simply no ejecting Russia. It is a pipe dream. There's no weapons that can be given that will facilitate anything except a bloody stalemate, which the US pretty much wants. They want Ukraine to be the buzzsaw Russia runs into to weaken it. Obviously, these goals haven't been reached because the West is still sending aid. US Generals and media saying this are saying so because if they admitted there is no way to eject Russia, the outrcry over Ukraine spending would get very bad very quick.
However, other countries are quite aware of the realities and are less willing to compromise modern weaponry to what is functionally a proxy war that will result in a loss. You see this with Germany and Poland and even the UK. They do not want to send their MBTs. The appetite for the war among the public is rapidly dwindling as inflation rises and the coming market indicators of a recession. This will only get worse.
Ukraine cannot keep this up without Western support. There is no situation in which NATO troops reinforce Ukraine, short of a nuclear conflict. You are high on crack. They barely want to send things over, getting in a shooting war with Russia is not one they want.
The only real question to me is: How much more territory does Ukraine lose and how much of Russia is really weakened? Russia as a nation has gone through hell and collapse many times throughout their history and come out the other side. I'm not seeing anything different that will foment the collapse of Russia. The only thing we've succeeded in doing is weakening Russia a little bit and accelerated alliances in Asia.
Ukraine was always a lost cause tbh, no matter how well they preformed early on. We're pretty much headed towards the worst outcome right now, as we don't really know how much we hurt Russia (and ourselves) and Ukraine is basically fucked as a country right now, relying totally on foreign aid to keep from collapsing. And the will to give more aid is fading fast.
