The cartels are pretty much allowed to keep doing their shit. Trump wanted to actually drone strike them, which caused his administration to start sweating bullets to tell him he couldn't which Orange Man found really confusing cause they were perfectly fine with him drone striking Iranian Generals and random Syrian ISIS fags but not the guys sending industrial ammounts of drugs into the US? Really makes you think...
I would guess however that this bill is simply meant to try and make Eyepatch McCain look good for normies. It has no chance to pass with such a tiny majority by the GOP and it also opens the question of what exactly it would even be doing. Why deploy the army in a OP in Mexico but using the NG to protect the border is not on the books?

Unless it is well run and executed such intervention into Mexico would only cause a general civil war between Cartels and Federales. Such thing would of course cause a massive refugee wave as they leave the battleground, and none of them will be going south...

VR will be a meme until they can shrink the technology to the point where it isn't a bulky headset that makes your neck hurt. Nobody wants to play a videogame only to be reminded of the neck pain they experienced when they were sucking off punks under the Brooklyn Bridge for 15 dollars a man. The only good VR experience out there really is The Void but that's basically an amusement park not worth the trouble to replicate in your home.

Redskins. Bezos has long held a hate boner towards the current owner (Snyder) and there has been long standing rumor that all of the recent negative press against the Redskins and Snyder was orchestrated by WP by Bezos to manufacture enough bad press to force Snyder to sell the team to Bezos.
Strapping something roughly the size of a toaster to your head was never going to become popular and was always going to be a niche thing. The only areas that VR is mildly successful in are short 360° movies/documentaries and Rollercoaster simulations that have existed before the headsets became a thing.

It’s more than that. Operation Fast and Furious demonstrated that the US government openly collaborated with the cartels by giving them weapons from 2006 to 2011. They seriously thought that was a good idea until those weapons were used against various law enforcement officers on the American side of the border. And fuckin’ lol if anyone believes we stopped doing that shit after 2011. It became a big scandal and the Obama administration couldn’t really provide much of a response other than pointing the finger at Dubya’s administration. When that didn’t work, the media memoryholed it. That’s just one of many things we do to help our cartel friends out.
To date, the cartels help us out with facilitating cheap labor and cheap Democrat votes. The United States position isn’t to fight the cartels but to support them.

If we wanted to, we could wipe out the cartels in a week. If we try to draw things out in order to squeeze money out of the situation, it would be the biggest catastrophe for this country in more than a century.

We could set this entire country back on the right path in a week if we only had men of vision and determination in charge, men that believe in the beautiful vision of a nationalist state that serves its citizens, instead of international, rootless plunderers! The elites have been working on killing the fighting spirit of the average Joe since the 60s. The average white male has been told that he's evil and everything wrong with the world for over a decade at the bare minimum. Because the ruling class isn't getting enough money from the War in Ukraine, they're revamping the War on Drugs. And since this is going to be an actual fucking war that's guaran-fucking-teed to spill over on American soil, we might as well roll out a second Patriot Act that eviscerates the Civil Liberties of everyone living in the southern United States.
