Just wanted to post an update that this post is gone on his profile. I doubt Joh would’ve voluntarily deleted it.

this obsession with rainbow effects on metal is concerning and really weird. beyond that, it's usually not a good idea if done poorly.

the main ways to get this effect is either titanium anodizing or galvanic plating (cadmium, nickel-cadmium, which i doubt would be used on kitchen stuff, since it's more a cheap industrial finish). you can also do something like copper sulfate wash, which will rapidly discolor if not protected from further heat. the good way (titanium anodizing type 2 or type 3, which i do commercially) is heat resistant and medically "clean" since you can use it on surgical steels. the cheap way is outright stupid unless it's an anti rust coating on industrial machinery like fasteners wouldn't be food safe at all. and the last option which i see sometimes in decorative cups/plates doesn't last if repeatedly exposed to heat or if the protective clear coat chips/cracks (or doesn't exist).

rainbow cookware that doesn't brag about exactly what sort of method is being used to produce the rainbow effect (PTFE with titanium substrate, PVD cookwares, et c) makes me question its safety/quality.

Give me trash cans or whatever but I get the feeling that Polly doesn't have the...spark that she displays on SM. Perhaps around people she's familiar with but her doctor, police officers or her landlord? From what I’ve seen on her TikToks, she will try to come across as “honey sweet” to get her way or for people to get comfortable with her. That is really what that Blanche shit is. However, her mask comes off very quickly when she doesn’t get what she wants. I have no doubt she’s a Karen just from what I’ve read on her Twitter and ranted about on TikTok.

In that “I’m not an addict” video she was trying to come across as a weak woman being taken advantage of by the system. You don’t get someone regularly checking the inside of your nostrils if you don’t have a history of pill seeking. Hell, she was screaming for and demanding why she was not getting hard painkillers hours after her hysterectomy. They were gone within a day, two max.

She scrolls through Amazon and daydreams about how she will use these items. Aside from them being low quality and I would absolutely not use them for cooking, she always says she deserves nice things and just because she's poor doesn't mean poor people can't enjoy nice things. Then why is she limiting herself to this Chinese made low quality garbage? Not even a real George Foreman grill? I bet you get lead poisoning from using that thing.

Back in Victorian England they were told and at least knew for years that boiling pickles in copper pots to turn them green was incredibly harmful to their health and they still did it because it looked pretty. They also used cherry laurel as an almond extract substitute because they wanted to keep up appearances despite knowing it would straight up (and did) kill people.

As such, many domestic cats aren't naturally inclined to drink from a water bowl or fountain - it's just not something they do. A diet centered around kibble can leave a kitty chronically dehydrated, which can cause serious, even fatal, urinary tract problems. I actually wonder if chronic dehydration contributed to Gomez's recent urethral blockage.

Even the very best kibble on the market is not as good as a mediocre canned food, especially if you stick to pâté instead of "chunks in goo" formulation and choose a kind that lists a specific meat, not "meat byproducts", as its first ingredient.

I know all of this is easier said than done, and cats will eat what they want to eat and nothing else, so I hope I'm not coming across as condemnatory of anyone except POS-lissa.

I'm 100% positive that the cats unfortunate enough to be "rescued" by Polissa are fed the absolute cheapest, lowest quality kibble on the occasions they get to eat at all. It's probably stuff I wouldn't even feed to a feral colony. I'm also certain that their water intake is inadequate; I don't think it likely that Polissa bothers to furnish them with a source of clean water. The mother cat in that recently posted photo is far too thin, and her dull, patchy fur speaks volumes. Nursing mothers of any species need additional hydration, calories, protein, and fat lest their body consume itself to sustain their offspring.

Luna is the mother of two of the litters in the house. Gomez and Morticia, the two kittens beside Luna, are part of a litter named after the Addams Family. There was also Wednesday, Pugsley, and Fester. I think that’s Fester trying to eat the kibble but Polissa’s cats are mostly blurred into my head.

The fact that she was trying to feed six week old kittens kibble is so dumb. I can see her forgoing giving a baby baby food and trying to go straight to solids. Even as kittens they looked like crap. Probably because they were having trouble eating?
