I had more thoughts I wanted to express, but I couldn't quite get the words right. I also realized I completely overlooked something that was staring me straight in the face the whole time.

Yeah you can see that in the chat logs too. I could go through them to find out when the name was shortened, but it really doesn't matter.

This King thing, it's never just one account in chat, it's always several at once, and for seemingly no reason. King Gabriel tipped, but of course there is no King Gabriel in chat. King Trev re-upped his membership, but didn't tip, and "King" just sat in chat not doing anything. What even is the point?

I'm kicking myself for botching this screeenshot, but this King thing, where multiple "King _______" accounts appear at once, also happens in WingsofRedemption's chat. The part that i botched, was not screenshotting "King" in chat while King Lemon superchatted.

I don't really watch Wings, so I don't know most of his lore and memes, but for DSP I'd say it's a reference to "the king of hate", for a lot of cases.
Other than that, I've also seen a bunch of kings in other non DSP related streams, probably because they think it sounds cool and it's an easy name; if for these two the reason is different, then it's maybe tied to a meme. That's my initial guess anyways.
