It's yes to both. Early in his streaming on YT, he bitched about how much he missed how much easier it was to moderate his twitch chat compared to his YT chat, because he knew how easy it was to make new accounts and still troll him. Plus prior to gifted memberships, he struggled to even reach 200 members without insane amounts of suspicious bot like accounts individually following him and then never making any other appearances. His labelling it "organic growth" comes from him being asshurt over people pointing this out constantly.

His love of banning people in his chat comes from the fact that it's the only form of power he has in his life. He does it because he genuinely hopes people will come crawling to him with an apology, thinking that it will curb trolling him in chat. It's a holdover from his time on twitch and as his hopes for gifted memberships shows us, he did prefer streaming on twitch and is why he is still so pissed over being kicked from partnership.

Also another piece of evidence that supports my claim is that Phil has said himself he never plays games during his off time, he only does it on his streams (hint hint, because he can make money doing it). As far as we know he's admitted to playing some mobile games here and there (totally not Champions), but are they even considered real games? Ehh not really, most of them are like Bejewelled clones or button tapping simulators with flashy gacha-esque mechanics.

Thats something that has always been weird to me. Like you would think that for competitive games like fps or fighting games you would want to practice outside of streaming hours just to get better and show a more fun and professional gameplay. Also the fact that he doesnt play ''''''''''''''''''''anything''''''''''''''''''''''' (ITS WWE CHAMPIONS TIMEEEEE) outside of stream tells me that he doesnt have anything that he enjoys by itself, truly a sad existence.

Aris, AKA AvoidingThePuddle, is the same age and is basically everything DSP could have been. Like Phil was an unevolved version of him, or something.
I've mentioned it before, DSP and Aris are basically the exact same kind of streamer[0 fucks given, plays fighting games and hates online play, plays what they want, doesn't want to work actual jobs, horrible at video games, gambling addiction], but Aris has a better mindset, a legitimate tournament legacy, and perhaps most importantly: He doesn't talk too much. Oh, and he doesn't E-beg.

As unlikely as it may be it would still be interesting to see him receive some kind of punishment, like a slap on the wrist at the very least over this just to see how hard he tries to feign ignorance regarding the situation even though it's blatantly obvious why he would be getting punished.

If Phil is punished, no matter how small of a slight it is he’ll go scorched earth on YouTube and act like the sky is falling and then either move back to Twitch or somewhere else.

Another thing Aris has is legit knowledge; and I'm not sure if it's on YouTube anymore, but there's like a 2+ hour Masters Lecture he gives on Soul Calibur 2. It's also quite old as he's not entirely clean shaven, but you can see his cheeks and chin and a lot younger.

The only other interest that Phil showed any joy in is WWE, but if you take his word for it now, apparently he doesn't watch WWE any more and doesn't care about what happens to it. Food I guess is another one (like the most unoriginal interest you can have because who the fuck doesn't consume and/or like food), but having an in interest in fast food is probably even a more sad existence then having no hobby or interest at all haha.

There's nothing wrong with having an interest in food; but Phil's too much of a hermit to turn it into anything. Because I've been seeing those professional/competitive eaters do restaurant challenges and post them on their channel; there's also non-professionals/competitives who do spice/flavor challenges. I'm not gonna get into the general mukbangers, we know they exist and they're fucking degenerate. But there is a field for having an interest be food; Phil's problem is he wants to stay locked in his room and any possible dining insight would be poisoned by his bitching about the delivery being late and the food being cold, because he's too fucking stupid to actually sit down and have a full dining experience.

I know DSP is bad, but I try watching other streamers, and any of the ones with a sizable audience are starting to feel less appealing. Even everyone's favorite spedrunner Carcinogen feels like he's angry about having to play games; granted he's making his first playthrough on Impossible Mode, and then bitching about design decisions. Not gonna say he's on the same level as Phil; but he gives off the vibe he hates what he does to make a living.

The difference is more often than not those people are entertaining and fun to watch and wholesome, the least provide a positive thing to the world. theres redeeming factors to them both to watch them and giving them money(to some people).

With the guy all you really get is toxicity and fakeness. While those other streamers are also for the most part fake ragey try hardy sore losers it's too such a lesser extent and its more pallatable. It feels human and explainable and is easily ingnored. The guy is the opposite, it's so blatant he's a greedy lazy asshole who adamantly pretends he's not. And 99% of the time he's being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. And it's obvious he's 100% in this for the check a check he feels he deserved.

Jn your example just seems like someone whose actually passionate about something and practices that something being burnt out or jaded by having a bad day in something he has a genuine passion for. As opposed to just being shit at something you were once good at and making excuses for it while insinuating you deserve money for it.

I just have to ask: how is Phil this slow with gaming? I bought the game yesterday and streamed it and after 3 hours I am nearly as far as Phil despite him having played 1 hour longer. I know he likes to draw out games and shoutouts and muppet show aka put clothes on cost time but seriously. Also it was a very bad late stream only 6 dollar? Fat Khet will have to go on a diet if this continues

What if I told you it's the same reason his finances are shit.

He pauses every chance he gets to input his own idiotic take on things. Since this is a remake he fucks around with what he remembers and why isn't something how it was before; he did this with the Peng statue, and while he was correct about its location, it appears much later in the OG DS. But he'd rather look up and down an area and explain how it's there and wondering why he can't get it. Something happens and he'll stop playing to fucking sperg about it, doubly so if someone in his audience says something. He relies on chat to hold his fucking hand and make decisions for him, as well as giving himself a full pep-talk about the how and why you should take the left road and not the right road (random example). There's also his need to call for donations and stopping the game to manually type shit in.

It's not that he fucks up in one massive explosion, it's a combination of small tiny time wasters that build up over and over and over and over and over through a game that makes shit twice as long as it needs to be. Just like his finances are a string of innumerable $109.90 charges to Apple iTunes.

If 30 years from now, someone asks me who DSP is, the most important side characters that would show up in my lore explanation would be people Phil interacted with irl: Panda, Fat Khet, Jahn, Howard, his dumbfuck parents who wouldn't buy him the Wolverine toy, people from the FGC. In case you haven't noticed stories abour Phil having human interactions are the best because they are the prime example of what a weirdo he is. After that, I might mention online detractors: evilAJ, deathstroke guy, pewds, sir moist, itsagundam, tevin, Jenna. And then, at the very end maybe bring up individual detractors. The most important one, by far, is Derich. An asian young adult autistic coomer who seemingly owns Phil despite not giving him any money (that we know of). Then you get some mid tier mentions like king snorlax, Slayer who made piggy work for money or the guy who gave him money despite having declared bankruptcy, and at the very end is OIC. OIC is the most boring one because he just gives him money and acts autistically and sometimes brags about being able to afford pissing away so much money. There's no flavor. He's not even on the fucking spectrum or in a goddamn wheelchair like Jayde is. A guy that can afford to support DSP and does it for attention is not as noteworyhy as a guy that has to take the bus everyday and can't buy his own car because he gives money that he needs to dsp.

Whales like Slayer and Jayde would be forgotten in maybe 3 months if they stopped tipping today. And yeah, there's been so many whales through the years but if you'd ask me to name the "significant" ones they'd either be lolcows in their own right (KGhaleon, Vidar, Master Saru) or would've only really be known for one event (PlanetDeadWife, Emerald7). I struggle to think of any whale that's been gone for at least a year or so except for the ones I mentioned.
You are right by saying that Derich is the chaddest of all dents though, if he stopped showing up tomorrow he'd still be the King of the Dents, and he managed to do all that without giving DSP a cent (he did use his mom's credit card to send bits that one time but that's the least important thing about why Derich is King Denthead).
