I think this is what he knows, all he knows, really. He can’t imagine doing anything else. AF is also where he gets his donor money, of course, but I think it’s deeper than money. He could make money renting out units in that building he owns, but that wouldn’t give him a sense of purpose the way AF does. AF is where his friends are, where he gets his self-esteem, etc.

I don't care about America being a "Christian nation," and I don't buy into the idea that it ever really was. I'd rather people in power not demonize Christianity, but people in power have been demonizing Christianity in its various forms since Jesus himself still walked the earth. It's nothing new.

America was broadly protestant Episcopal in the 20th century and today in our age we see that has virtually disappeared and not for the better because the current things trying to take it's void are horrendous. I don't want to live in a world dominated by Orthodox Christianity, Catholicism, Islam or the Chinese. I'd rather christianity be not demonized and if they didn't I think it would die out. Something new aught to replace it in the western world.
