I personally think there's a bit of a line. If some dumb fuck is depressed, they should get the help necessary to get their shit together instead of offing 'em. More value to society that way.

Agreed. Schizophrenia does not take away your moral reasoning, it warps your understanding of reality so that your moral reasoning does not apply. If someone rapes a kid while having a schizophrenic episode, they don't do it because they like kids, they did it because the light of God shone through a window and a booming voice told them to sire the Messiah, or because they are so far gone from reality they don't even realize their penis is inside of a crying child and they think they're fucking Catherine the Great. My kids usually have 25% of their allowance saved every month so they can buy something more expensive later down the road. It's bad when even someone under 10 is better with month than someone who's almost 70.
