Based on my reading of the tweet saying he is CompTIA certified, it sounded to me like it was an A+ cert which isn't exactly the most easily marketable cert out there. I passed it as well and while it can help get your foot in the door, if you're too incompetent or psycho to be even moderately normal it's not going to matter. I can only imagine that this guy is a pain to work with even in a remote situation. The fact he's interviewing for Xerox to be a very obviously entry level support tech while being clearly in his 40's at a minimum is very unfortunate.

For those who have had sex*, in Tech there are industry accepted certifications to prove you can memorize braindumps have minimal skills and knowledge for various technologies. CompTIA offers certifications at the very lowest skill levels. High school/community college programs usually have CompTIA certification as part of their class.To quote one manager, a comptia cert on a resume just demonstrates the ability to walk, chew gum, and be capable of passing a certification test. (Which too be fair is a bar that excludes a disturbing number of applications)
I guess as you say, there nothing wrong with the cert, but if you are in your 40s and that's the crown jewel of your resume, that's just sad.
