Ethan seems really out of touch with even his own crew. His online habits must be so different from how he tries to present in real life, that he completely forgets what is and is not funny to average people.
It's like if you're talking to a stranger and he leans in to make a really inappropriate comment about something. But instead of having the self awareness to be careful, he's just an out of touch Hollywood Jew with zero empathy who is too rich to care.

This is genuinely the most despicable thing that Ethan has done, imo. He's not laughing at the degenerate who was pathetic enough to make the images, or at the schmuck who was caught paying for them. He's laughing because he told some asshole to lay some generic sad music over a video of a woman in distress, and 'the madman actually did it'. It makes it very clear to me that he never took this woman's complaints seriously and was looking for any reason to turn her trauma into a joke.
Half of his co-hosts are hiding their faces, either because they are laughing hard too or because they are ashamed of what just happened. You have Hila who is trying to nervous laugh her way out of the situation. Then the red headed woman who is clearly not amused. I wish she spoke up.
This could have been an interesting lead in to a discussion about deepfakes, how easy they are to make and how little reference material they need, the fact that anyone can sell fake sexual images of some other person for pure profit, or how female content creators should be worried this could happen to them. But you would have to have half a brain cell in order to do that.

If I care enough about my image to drop five figures removing fake porn, I would probably hold back from ugly crying in a way that immediately will be spread by others. Of course I don't have a livelihood dependent on attention and good PR. This is an example of a "benign" use but let's keep in mind there's 30 different versions of the following for every second of video:
Thinking like a coomer/POS for a moment, training data of a subject being neutral/happy is probably way easier to locate that a good source of them really sobbing. This would be a boon to content creators to slap it over some high-dollar categories like Facial Abuse or Painal. Getting that to market would be great for the Patreon and I could make even more money on the back end getting paid to take it down. I could probably make decent money a third time finally selling it to a foreign "hacker" that "steals" it from me.
If limiting exposure is truly the concern then there really aren't many other ways to handle this worse other than actually making real content. If this is manipulation for more attention and good PR, it's hilarious the hole she is digging herself into. If she's so retarded she's basically rewarding the people she hates most, also hilarious. Oh cry me a fucking river. Qt injected herself into this fucking drama, per fucking usual. Her name wasn't even being floated until she started popping off on twitter. This happens every.single.time with her. Like when xqc and adept were fighting live, she was SO quick to demonize xqc as a woman hater, without even thinking twice as to the situation at hand (she later apologizes). This is clearly her MO, and I agree with destiny. She has a right to be upset, but was being overtly dramatic (imo for veiws), and you'd think someone had just physically assaulted her. If she hadn't made that video, there would be infinitely less knowledge of her deepfake being on that website right now. At the end of the day, poki and Maya were the ones who were being publically advertised as having deepfakes on this site.
