@Alfred MacDonald: As someone involved in the LW community, you've seen your fair share of simping for Aella (your insight is incredible; thank you for sharing thus far), but how much simping is also aimed at someone like Gwern?

Aella suddenly deviates from her baseline and turns into a Quirky Girl who shouts "I have to tweet this!", runs to the sliding glass door and into the dining room where her phone is.
I couldn't imagine having someone who seeks gratification from live-tweeting private conversations in a social circle. It's too bad you all couldn't nip the issue at the bud.

@Alfred MacDonald totally off-topic here Was the crazy woman you were dramatically involved with a fatty? It seems like bisexual men always have these tumultuous romances with nutty porkers who have pretty faces & bad haircuts. Autism wants to know if i've guessed correctly.

ETA - Christ I just saw that Paella was born in 1992. Don't get fillers, I guess.

Further Edit - Judging a man and warning women about him being "a sociopath" based on "his reddit history" has to be one of the saddest things I've ever read.

No. She's lying.

Bluntly: She wants to get the biggest fish in her lake. Everything else is farcical.
Imagine being the type of man that's put in the effort to building the skills necessary to meet her criteria for being a good partner. All that work, all that successful networking, and I bet more than a few would be willing to put it all in peril for some very average pussy and slightly above-average manipulation skills.

Edited to add: if you're that stupid that you wouldn't take steps to protect what you built, you deserve what you get.

It seems like she CAN hit 170wpm for like a couple words but then falls down to a Still far above average speed for a person but nothing close to what she claims.
Such a silly thing to lie about though, especially because she could easily still impress people being in a 140 range.
Most people type so poorly that if you ever look at the standards on anybody who has you do one of these tests for employment or whatever the ordinal variable stops at something like 75 wpm which everyone above it is put into. If you're above say 100 the only people who can fathom any speed higher than you are other people who can type above 100 in the first place. Normal people would see it like wizards debating about who's better at magic.

Although I have to imagine the average typing speed is only increasing among generations as more people start typing naturally at younger ages. For example, I've seen eleven year old girls texting (NO IT WAS LEGAL FOR ME TO SEE THIS IT WAS IN PUBLIC) and there's no way they won't be the fastest typists to ever live probably.

I wonder who would win in a fight, Aella or Caroline Ellison, the Samuel Bankman Fried Weasel?
Going with Aella here, she might be a reptiloid skinwalking as a human but looks more or less healthy whereas Ellison has the kind of weird physiognomy you normally only encounter among the hardcore underclass.

She would have tried saying it was no big deal and other women are being too sensitive about it
She has been and, surprise, talked about it on Twitter. An uncle or something, or a friend of her father's. There are screenshots on another thread.

I think Aella is fascinating; I'm fascinated by these twitter microcelebrities who gather a following and are completely different from the persona they try to convey. A subspecies of lolcow.

As for her looks, I think she managed to buy a good body via surgery and whatever else. There are pre-surgery pictures of her in this forum in which she either looks like a tranny or a typical white trash girl with ungraceful, manly features. Her whole face was built from scratch, her surgeons and aestheticians wiped out the manly from her face, and she obviously requested pixie and delicate. She's not shy to talk about it, she's talked about her surgeries on video.

In pictures I found on reddit or Twitter she looks positively sexy, so I don't know if they are edited. She knows how to move, and her ass and hips are her best asset. (Her boobs are fake). In others, under certain angles, her ugliness is undeniable.

What strikes me the most about her appearance is how devilish she looks when she talks. Not only the reptilian look, but I feel like I'm looking constantly at a mask, that she's hiding so much. Maybe its my prejudice against women who adamantly defend paraphilias and "sex work", but this bish looks positively demonic when she speaks.

She obviously wants to be the main piece of a self-made nerdy millionaire, and she will, eventually; either that or she'll lolcow away year after year until, by the magic of fleeting public perception due to "if I tell the world on the internet I'm something, the world will eventually believe me", she's not Aella the Whore anymore, but Aella the Grifter (current grift seems to be Statiscs and Research.)

She sells herself on OF, as an escort, tries to build a brand on Twitter, tries to sell her eggs, tries to land a millionaire among the silly rationalist crowd... She reminds me of those girls who try all kinds of influencer shticks until they finally get recognized. Except influencer girls usually have a semblance of dignity.

It pains me to say this but if, according to her ex-friend on this thread, she plagiarizes tweets (the lowest form of plagiarism) and loves the dopamine rush only a permanent Twitter presence can give you, she'll lie and lie until she lands something nice for herself.

I've seen it over and over again. Internet fame is made for people like Aella: damaged, emotionally stunted, in denial of their own handicapped personalities, unable to form healthy relationships and greedy like only whores can be.

This is the shit that drives me absolutely bonkers because she will whine that people who criticize her statistical methods are "low IQ" but here she is declaring that her Goddamn Twitter Poll, which has not even expired yet, is "replicating other studies" [citation needed].

aella1 - Copy.PNG

And, since she ejaculated prematurely over this, where there are 23 hours in the poll left, where public opinion can change, who the fuck even knows what result she was declaring the "strongest gender gaps"! The results have not even been finalized!

aella2 - Copy.PNG

It's just such a bastardization of statistics and data and it upsets me.

Okay, so, first: the video is about a woman who was sentenced to 15 years in jail for this, and the video is outraged that she served only 3 years of her 15 year sentence. A 15 year sentence for this is insane to me, sorry. A 3 year sentence strikes me as closer to reasonable.

But I do believe in accountability, so I 'll respond to your call-out. Yes, I don't think a just-born human is conscious. They've not developed fully-working vision or ability to track objects or a sense of self. If the child is literally just born this strikes me as similar to euthanizing a pet.

And yes, I realize exactly how controversial of a view this is. I'm not trying to be edgy; this just strikes me as what is true. If you give me links to papers or articles that should change my mind, I'm happy to read those.

I don't claim know where the "line" of consciousness is.

And I think most people don't think just-born children are conscious in this same way either, because of data that suggests just-borns don't "remember" circumcision:

"Up to 96 percent of the babies in the United States and Canada receive no anesthesia when they are circumcised, according to a report from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. One of the reasons anesthesia is not used, the study found, is the belief that infants feel little or no pain from the procedure. It has also been argued that injecting anesthesia can be as painful as circumcision itself, and that infants don't remember the procedure, anyway." (Source)
So my answer to Mark's question there is "the line is wherever people stop thinking a just-born won't remember the circumcision procedure." The American Pregnancy Association says most circumcisions that occur in a hospital occur within the first 48 hours, so "within 48 hours" seems like a good-enough answer.

I'm also not going to die on this hill. Like, to be clear, this is not something I want codified into law or made legal; Morality is not law and law is not morality. Most people don't think a father who kills the killer of his daughter is doing something immoral, even though it is criminal; likewise, I don't think this should be legal, but I don't think it is immoral. I'm disagreeing with the murder/manslaughter charge because I believe it fits in a separate category of crime.

Anyway. Is it off-topic to debate my Facebook posts here? I have no idea. I make a lot of Facebook posts; do you want to turn the entire thread into a debate about what I believe? lol.

In my opinion, you should not do this and instead simply ignore these posts and give as much information on Aella as you can (and feel comfortable doing). Being an information source, and being so upfront with your identity, people will inevitably dig into your posts and your past, and the more you engage with them, the more they'll dig and confront you about it. One of the hallmark lolcow behaviors is an inability to not respond to criticism; if you continue doing this you just might end up being the focus of this thread, which has happened before in other threads. This is just a friendly reminder as I have greatly appreciated the information you have provided, but I won't tell you not to do it outright: never nip a proto-lolcow in the bud :)

@Alfred MacDonald: As someone involved in the LW community, you've seen your fair share of simping for Aella (your insight is incredible; thank you for sharing thus far), but how much simping is also aimed at someone like Gwern?

Well, there are a few answers to this. I'll give you my most objective answer and then my cattier one.

The more objective answer: Gwern is widely seen as a good writer who does his homework, but they barely talk about him.

My personal answer: I do think Gwern is a writer who does his homework. Maybe there's something he's written that's awful, but he seems to source his material properly. I don't find him objectionable.

The cattier answer: I think most of these people don't have the attention span to read his work. The LessWrong demographic is fairly wealthy; the average income of Austin LW was about $150,000/year. The typical person makes enough money that they can have whatever social circle they want, and they've started to believe IQ is a shortcut to figure out who is correct about literally issue. (For example, I used to be friends with a psychometrist; a huge part of her job was giving out IQ tests to old people at risk for dementia. I have had an enormously difficult time convincing the LW crowd that IQ is mostly used to determine if you've had cognitive decline, not to figure out if someone is a "genius". There isn't much of a difference between IQ in the 145 range and a maxed-out score of 160; it's like the difference between a 3.91 GPA and a 4.0 GPA. But holy crap I have spent so much work trying to get people to believe this.)

“Something I deeply value, as incapable pf understanding me”

And there you have it, people. Through their own words they’ll be exposed. Absolutely self-absorbed.

Reactions: Alfred MacDonald
One among them was Eigenrobot, AKA Samuel Henly, who is the central figure in the "postrationalist" twitter sphere. (Yes, this exists.) Colin Popell is/was moving to Texas, and was friends with Ryan Abel, a carnivore diet advocate I regularly beefed with who would repost BS-spewing fitness influencers of the likes of Solbrah (Carl Genz). At one point he cited my own reddit post against me in an argument not knowing I had wrote it. (And apparently not having read all of it; his argument was that oral birth control is categorically bad, and I had an addendum comment specifying that DHEA from most grocery stores should be enough to ameliorate those side effects.)

Eigenrobot / Samuel, as I said, is a central figure if not *the* figure of the "postrationalist" movement. His wife is Mackenzie Henly. Before they had dated, Mackenzie and I used to sext a lot. She had admitted that she wanted, or at least thought about, having my children. (We ultimately had no nonverbal chemistry when we videochatted, so I figured we would not work.)

Can you tell us more about @eigenrobot and those in his social circle like @lndian_Bronson and @turrible_tao and @growing_daniel? Not only has eigen/Samuel admitted to taking his young daughter to see Aella_Girl (!!), but he was also in possession of a large commercial sex markets database. Indian Bronson is a sexually frustrated Browncel who is known for sliding into the DMs of various Twitter tradthots and bragging that Indian men back home are entitled to 18-year old virgins. Bronson also runs a dating app (keeper dating) which looks like a honeypot/data mining scheme. I don't know as much about the others. What I do know about this scene I've learned from a certain imageboard thread.

I've also noticed a bunch of these "rationalists," including Aella, interact with race scientists like Emil O. W. Kirkegaard, who is an even more brazen defender of child porn and pedophilia than Aella herself! Other posters have mentioned that Aella has received funding from Peter Thiel and the connections with the tech oligarch / venture capital world run deep. Something stinks, and it's not just Aella because of her bad hygiene.
