Susie Green & Mermaids UK - "Trans Kid Support Charity", Susie had her underage kid get GRS

Some people really just need to be taken out behind the woodshed and put out of other people's misery. I'm on page 3 and already MATI. Something about the litigious cows that weaponize the legal system against sane people really pisses me off because it like, confirms that they know full well what they're doing and they know how to do it (vs. someone like Chris who is awful but clueless and terrible at victimizing people). I hope this woman gets raped and murdered by pakis and I'll wear all the top hats in the world to say it. Maybe 70 pages from now I get a happy ending?

Another L for Jolyon Maugham and the Good Law Project in their claim that NHS England was unlawfully discriminating against trans-identified people because waiting lists for treatment are long. Mermaids weren't a claimant in this one but naturally they're disappointed.

(GLP tweet, ghostarchive.org; Mermaids tweet, ghostarchive.org; GLP blog, ghostarchive.org)

The case was [2023] EWHC 43 (Admin), judgment page here, full judgment PDF here.

The GLP dropped one of their original six claims, and the judge ruled against them on the remaining five. They're trying to save face by claiming:
Good Law Project said:
In a positive development, the Judge rejected the NHS’s argument that young people seeking gender reassignment are not protected under the Equality Act 2010. This is an important legal conclusion and is likely to have wider implications for young people in the trans community.
To be clear, getting a ruling on this particular matter wasn't part of their claims, and came about only because the NHS lawyers argued that children couldn't claim the protected characteristic of "gender reassignment" under the Equality Act 2010. It's not clear to me why NHS England argued that in the first place (it's certainly not supported by a direct reading of the Equality Act). In any case, this point was argued in regards to the GLP's claim that trans-identified children and young people had suffered both direct and indirect discrimination by NHS England, a claim that the judge rejected entirely.

In summary, NHS waiting times are long for a number of reasons, the NHS is doing what it can under the circumstances, and there's no evidence NHS England is treating people seeking treatment for gender-related reasons any differently than anyone else.

The GLP are appealing against the judgment. But it was raised before the case (I forget by who) that a win for the Good Law Project would probably result in something like the judge instructing the NHS to work harder, and perhaps forcing the NHS to pay a fine. What a victory that would have been for Maugs and the troons!

Edit: Also, Mermaids are appointing a Treasurer (a board position). I wonder if Susie Green pulled a Trans Lifeline? Can't remember who the previous treasurer was but I'll look it up. PDF attached.

Edit: Treasurer as of their March 31 2021 accounts filing was Katarzyna Khider, appointed shortly before in February 2021.

They're apparently still training an NHS trust.

An NHS Trust taking over care of trans children from the Tavistock clinic is being trained by controversial charity Mermaids, The Telegraph can reveal.
The charity, which is at the centre of a number of safeguarding rows and is currently under investigation by the regulator, will provide sessions for staff at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM) starting this month.
It comes as the Trust takes over specialist mental health support for children questioning their gender identity as part of a regional service set up to replace the Tavistock after it was found that its service was “not safe”.
Mermaids’ influence on the Tavistock was cited by some whistle-blowers as one of the reasons why it lost its way, with claims that activists put pressure on clinicians to affirm children’s belief that they were trans and to prescribe potentially life-altering drugs.
The Charity Commission is currently carrying out a statutory inquiry into Mermaids amid concerns over its governance and management.

SLaM has insisted that the training is not related to their roles in the new gender identity clinic. It is the second year running the Trust has had “ LGBT+ awareness training” from the charity.
Medics who blew the whistle on Tavistock said that the trans charity’s involvement with SLaM is a cause for “concern” and that previous training has been “inaccurate and misleading”. They called for a “completely different approach” at the new NHS service.

‘Inaccurate and misleading’

For eighteen years, staff warned that Tavistock medics were being put under pressure by trans campaign groups such as Mermaids, leading to fear that they would be labelled transphobic if they questioned whether a child had gender dysphoria.
Young people were being rushed through assessments without other medical conditions being considered and potentially life-altering drugs were being doled out to children without evidence, a review of the service has found.
Sue Evans, a Tavistock nurse who first raised concerns in 2005, told The Telegraph: “My experience was that groups like Mermaids exerted pressure on the clinical service which was not always helpful in terms of thinking about patients holistically.
“Given that Hilary Cass has asked for care to be evidence-based and holistic, I have serious concerns about Mermaids providing training to staff at SLaM.
“I have not seen their current training materials yet, but based on past experience I would be concerned that they would be promoting an affirmation-only model which lacks an evidence base and does not take into account the complexities of children’s needs and backgrounds. The Mermaids teaching materials that I have seen were inaccurate and misleading.”
After years of controversy at the Tavistock, an interim review, led by Dr Hilary Cass, said that it was “not safe” and there needed to be a “fundamentally different” service.
The NHS announced in July that Tavistock’s gender identity clinic for children would be replaced by regional centres led by experts in paediatric health.

Serious concerns

SLaM, which is a Stonewall Diversity Champion, will provide specialist mental health services at the London clinic, which is being led by a partnership between Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
Despite the serious concerns about its treatment, the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust will be providing support to the new regional centres.
It is expected that the new services will begin in the spring. Before taking control, the Trust booked a number of training sessions to be delivered by Mermaids.
Mermaids say that its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training is “tailored to the needs of your organisation, exploring: gender diversity, barriers faced by trans people, transitioning and treatment pathways, and ways to improve your diversity policies and procedures.”
Slides from a previous training session shared on social media included a scale from one to 10 with a Barbie on one side and a GI Joe on the other and asked: “Where on the spectrum might your gender identity be?” Mermaids claimed that the scale was tongue-in-cheek.
It comes as the Mermaids are subject to a statutory inquiry by the Charity Commission.
The regulator announced that they were first investigating Mermaids in September after The Telegraph revealed that they were sending potentially dangerous breast-binding devices to children behind their parents’ backs and discussing how drugs were “totally reversible”.

Last month, the regulator announced that it would be escalating its investigation to a statutory inquiry “due to newly identified issues about the charity’s governance and management”.
Consultant psychotherapist Dr Marcus Evans, who resigned from the Trust over their treatment of whistle-blowers, told The Telegraph “There are a lot of parents who are already worried after Tavistock said it would be involved in advising the new service providers, and now Mermaids is offering training as well.
“The old service system is discredited. We need a completely different approach that avoids preoccupation with gender to the exclusion of all other facets of the family, child and young person’s personality and development.”
A SLaM spokesman said: “This training is not related to the development of an early adopter service for children and young people experiencing gender incongruence and gender dysphoria.
“We commission as well as directly provide high-quality professional training courses from a wide range of providers as part of our training offer for our staff to further support the provision of personalised, safe and therapeutic care for young people and adults using mental health services.”
A spokesman for the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust said: “The Trust has a clear position of independence, and engages with a number of support groups with a range of different positions. We are committed to providing an environment where staff can work thoughtfully with each individual patient with no preferred outcome in mind.”

I hadn't heard of the South London and Maudsley Trust before. The name reminded me of national hero Robert Maudsley but that's all. Good to see Sue and Marcus Evans still speaking out about this, they've been solidly against this treatment of kids since the start.

@Hongourable Madisha - that's funny because the troons have been attacking South London & Maudsley for getting psychotherapists in to train the Lambeth CAMHS team: (transsafety.network, archive.ph)
Interesting. This is a significant move and I'm not surprised the trans are shitting themselves. Anastassis Spiliadis is the psychotherapist of choice for TERF parents - his waiting list is as long as your arm.

This is fucking scary. Look these "symptoms" of gender dysphoria. These are normal experiences or conditions that can be managed. They claim transing children is the cure for these problems. The definition is so broad it includes most children at some point in their life.

Also holy shit the last point. Decreased gender dysphoria is a sign of gender dysphoria??? Isn't the goal of trooning children to decrease dysphoria??

These people are incredibly dangerous and insane. Someone stop these fucking snake oil salesmen.

D39HCdxWAAIzui1
These lack so much context. I wasn't paying attention at work and I knocked over something someone else needed like, right now and destroyed it and I just had to ignore it and keep doing my job. I felt intense shame and guilt because I fucked over a good friend being careless. Clearly I need a pair of bolt-on tits and a penis removal. I check off like half of these boxes. Depression and/or anxiety? That's like 50% of people. Feelings of decreased gender dysphoria are a sign of gender dysphoria? What the fucking hell? If my cancer is in remission should I be concerned that it's paradoxically also getting worse?

A more fitting end would be for her to be strangled in her sleep by the son she trooned out once he finally realizes what she took from him.
Yeah you're right that would be poetic. Would make a good movie.

Mermaids now say that the blocking of the Gender Recognition Reform Bill means that trans-identified people don't have "basic dignity".
Mermaids_Gender-1615271025654247424.png
(twitter.com, archive.ph)

Mermaids previously set out the "key changes" that the Bill would bring in:
Mermaids said:
  • Lowering the minimum age requirement for applicants to 16
  • Moving from a medicalised requirement for psychiatric diagnosis to a system of statutory declaration (“self-declaration”)
  • Reducing the requirement for two years living “in line” with your gender to three months, with a three-month “reflection period” between the application and the certificate being issued
(mermaidsuk.org.uk, ghostarchive.org)

So presumably "basic dignity" relies on being able to apply for a Gender Recognition Certificate aged 16-18, self-ID, and a shorter waiting period?

Honestly I do hope the S35 order gets challenged in the courts - the Scottish government is almost as bad as Maugs when it comes to bringing losing cases to court.

@Hongourable Madisha turns out sunlight is once again the best disinfectant.

Training by Mermaids has been scrapped at the NHS trust replacing the Tavistock clinic, after concerns were raised in The Telegraph.

The scandal-hit transgender charity was due to run training sessions for staff at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, starting this month, despite being under investigation by the regulator.

The trust is taking over specialist mental health support for children questioning their gender identity as part of two regional services this spring to replace the Tavistock, which was deemed “not safe” and shut down.

However, medics who blew the whistle on the Tavistock told The Telegraph last week that the trans charity’s involvement with the trust was a “serious concern”, given that a review called for a “fundamentally different” service.

Now, the trust has performed an about-turn by scrapping the Mermaids sessions, which cover transitioning, identity and treatment pathways.

A spokesman for the trust said: “We are committed to providing our staff with the right training to deliver personalised, safe and therapeutic care for young people and adults using mental health services, but we have taken the decision to stop our work with Mermaids.”

Mermaids’ safeguarding rows

Mermaids is at the centre of a number of safeguarding rows and the Charity Commission is currently carrying out a statutory inquiry amid concerns over its governance and management.

For 18 years, staff warned that Tavistock medics were being put under pressure by trans campaign groups such as Mermaids, leading to fear that they would be labelled transphobic if they questioned whether a child had gender dysphoria.

Potentially life-altering drugs were being doled out to children without evidence, a review of the service has found.

Dr Marcus Evans, a consultant psychotherapist who resigned from the Tavistock, said last week: “The old service system is discredited. We need a completely different approach that avoids preoccupation with gender to the exclusion of all other facets of the family, child and young person’s personality and development.”

An NHS England spokesman said: “NHS England does not commission or fund Mermaids. As per the Health and Social Care Act, trusts are autonomous and NHSE does not advise Trusts on which training providers to use.”

I've no doubt they'll still be training them elsewhere though. I'd also swearn there was another article this week about them finding that almost every single person who contacted Mermaids ended up transitioning, which I'd be curious to see but can't find it anymore.

Could it be this article, about the Tavistock clinic being very free with puberty blockers:

Telegraph: Puberty blockers were given to almost all children sent for assessment by Tavistock clinic (archive)
Thank you, that's the one,. I was hunting for Mermaids not Tavistock. Which actually makes it worse.

I think everything is summarised best by this part of the article.

The NHS gender identity service’s own data shows that 96 per cent of children sent for assessment to endocrinology clinics were given puberty blockers.
Separate figures show that 98 per cent of children who were given puberty blockers went on to be given cross-sex hormones that cause irreversible physical changes in their bodies.
For a shockingly rare condition that 96% sent for assessment were put onto puberty blockers is horrific. Anyone who believe the NHS is right that often when it comes to ANYTHING is so high that they're probably going to die in the next 10 seconds or an idiot. That 98% of those then went onto hormone treatment is almost less horrific because at that point it's already peak nightmare.

The transcripts of Mermaids vs LGB Alliance are available. It's nothing new if you've read the live tweets from the time, but it's the official record of it all.
https://lgballiance.org.uk/tribunal-transcript/
Contains some real gems like Dr Belinda Bell, a Mermaids trustee, saying babies aren't born with a sex, and the mad homophobic questioning of Kate Harris about whether lesbians like cock.

Mermaids‘ struggle session report is out, and they’re all bigots. Obviously there are no details.

Statement text (archive):
Mermaids said:
In 2022, Mermaids decided to carry out a frank and honest appraisal of our internal culture and how we measure up in terms of equity, diversity and inclusion and to understand oppression which our staff experienced. We thank our staff for their honesty and bravery throughout this process.

An independent external report which we commissioned has highlighted a number of significant challenges for us. Today we are sharing the recommendations from this report and the next steps which the team are already taking.

We know we must do better and we are absolutely committed to doing so, and are implementing the report’s recommendations as a priority.

Lemme guess, their solution is to troon even harder.
They will not rest until 100% of the kids they talk to get a cock or tit chop,
This is about unspecified internal HR problems, not their external work. From the PDF: "No one at Mermaids should ever feel abandoned or confronted by the stereotypes that we as a charity work so hard to dismantle." So maybe Sooz was rolling around the office laughing about troons while gleefully posting in the Most Physically Repulsive Tranny thread?

The full report conducted by the "Social Justice Collective" external consultants hasn't been published, only the "recommendations and next steps". Other, even more mental, trans activists are also talking around the problem:

"But we can say that it alone does not remove the concerns that we have over this charity", but no word on what those "concerns" are. (twitter.com, archive.ph)

Separately, the Metro has paid Cocky Dazzler himself Mx Darren Mew to defend Sam Smith's moobs. Presumably the Metro has an affirmative action programme for disgraced employees of children's charities.

We had a pro pedo advocate on our board of trustees. Clearly the problem is we're not having enough open and honest conversations about the best way to get more dicks in and off children.

Edit - also thanks for your efforts in finding this shit time and again.

Nothing about safeguarding, harboring pedos, or grooming kids behind their families' backs. Almost as if they want to sweep their wrongdoing under the rug.

Funny bit, their "strategic objectives" now include:
>> "Answering the question as to whether the charity has an ambition to be trans and/or community led"

They're still afraid of committing to having a tranny in charge, because they know that trannies are fucking repulsive, and having one as a the face of the organization would turn the world against them.

I hope they do it. They best way to turn people off trans ideology is to show them more of the creeps behind it.

Sam Smith's moobs
Reminds me of Fat Bastard playing with his nipples.
