As Tidal guy said on Twitter, the writer of MSTK3000 wrote Diamond / Jailbait as a deliberate parody of Witchblade, and the comic is described in its original solicitation as Dateline To Catch A Predator meets Witchblade.

Unlike the Gemshock grift it wasn't some secret or scam, they straight up said what it was. He isn't saying Jailbait is super original, he's saying Mandy Summers stole it. Which she did, pretty obviously. Along with Legacy of Blackbeard and Wart (the) Wizard that people have found so far.

Dale Keown has raced in, fedora tipping madly, to rescue his racemixing stripper. It hasn't gone well. Other Image alums are even telling him to pull up. He didn't, naturally.

Pretty interesting that in the tweet from March 2022 she says "Dale Keown and I created Gemshock together" but the February 2023 the wording is slightly different "neither myself nor Dale Keown (who designed Gemshock) has ever..." Is she already distancing herself from the problem by lessening her involvement in the design? Could just be sloppy wording from an airhead and I'm reading too much into it I guess.

I was intrigued enough by what you said here to actually sit down and read the damn thing.

You are substantially correct. Mandy is being a dumb bitch yet again.

It's about a superheroine named Diamond who FIGHTS pedophiles and other sexual predators. She works for some superhero organization that does exclusively that. All the superheroines are named after gemstones, and the organization is called GEM. Within the very first pages she brings to justice a guy that was going to rape a 13 year old girl. The overarching concept of this thing isn't exactly subtle.

Overall, Mandy is WAY out of line here. The comic is the exact opposite of what she's saying.

Hell, the blub on the back cover gives it away.


The authors might be soyboys, but I think there's an interesting concept here if I'm being completely honest. The writing is ham-fisted, and I don't care much for the art. There's also some dumb stuff about the heroine riding a bicycle because she's "going green" and like 5 pages of her bitching about her skimpy costume. Again, it's an appealing concept. I just think the execution is off and there's a lot of stupid shit weighing it down.

Saying retarded ignorant things like Mandy is saying only helps people like Preston and Lamont in their attempts to portray themselves as being wrongly attacked by CG. Were I @FROG, I'd offer a recrimination here to avoid the appearance that CG makes a habit of calling anybody opposed to them pedos. That shit is gonna spiral out of control and bite people in the ass eventually.

Yeah, but that's John Byrne's Wolverine design, which didn't come out until the 80's. Wolverine's original design looked very dissimilar to Timberwolf.
