It is in the northeast US. I'm not entirely sure of the etymology of it, other than it being a common name, possibly.
edit: I will add that, in the last two decades or so, with the rise of Jersey Shore goyslop, it seems to have entered a weird "acceptable slur" status, like the terms redneck, white trash, or basically anything referring to white people.

To give the trans community a little bit of slack (and I guess Keffles to certain extent).
This has absolutely nothing to do with slurs or any racism. It’s 100% because Keffles got $100,000 within like a week and then did nothing with it.
I’m sure some trans people wanted Keffles to have enough money so they could realistically move to a new apartment and have maybe one or two months rent covered with deposit.
What they didn’t want was Keffles to have enough money to pretty much put a down payment on a house and then abandon all of his stances that he held before the drop kiwis farms crap.
He abandoned the HRT directory, he broke ties with the other trans activists who are also around the drop Kiwi farms camp and most recently he’s been “threatening“ to stop identifying as trans and just saying that he’s a woman because he hates other trans people because surprise surprise they’re all mentally ill. Also a lot of trans people are retarded communists and would also ask that Keffles donate a lion share of the sum to some bullshit charities or use the money to run for office and then in force cis women to marry and be bred by gross male to female trannies or some shit.
Trannies are fucking seething at this, they have had it out for Keffles pretty much since he got that money. Keffles had a target on his back and he’s now messed up enough that everyone can safely disown him.

I'm so glad Lucas is getting a taste of his own medicine. His own former fans are now turning their backs on him and spinning yarns about his horrible deeds, exaggerating things and framing them in the worst light, using terms like "digital blackface" and dropping the word "dox(x)ing" in their accusations. All of the same inflammatory tactics Lucas uses on the regular against his targets. It's poetic.
