It was always just something him and Ian could smugly point to when making videos and such a dumb molehill to make a mountain out of. The FA was never an issue in my experience and in cold weather or a dirty rifle was an easy fix when the bolt failed to lock into battery. Any of the suggestions to circumvent using the FA such as pressing your finger or thumb on the hot bolt carrier and attempting to push the bolt carrier group into the chamber are retarded and gay. I do find it hilarious that Military Arms channel and Garand Trumb often throw shade on the argument when doing videos and in MACs case proved Karl's anecdote about the FA potentially causing an AR-15 to explode if depressed while firing to be total bullshit during a live fire test.

If it was going to explode, the initial torture tests (and the hell it went thru in Vietnam) would have proven it. Lots of Vietnam vets still here, and that's a story I haven't heard from those early production rifles.
I don't think Karl the cuck actually did much in the way of designing the rifle I mean essentially they just picked stuff that i was already being produced and put it together the guy who actually did the molding and design work for the lower receiver is the guy who deserves the most credit in my opinion
He also has retarded takes on the 3 point sling, because he doesn't understand why it's necessary if you have to carry a rifle with you 24-7, and aren't able to keep your hands on your weapon. Also even though people tried to explain it to him both him and Ian don't understand why Militaries like Bullpups, because neither of them have had to be jammed like sardines inside an armored vehicle for weeks on end.
If I recall correctly Karl scoffs at any military experience as just wrong compared to his experience from chilling on the range. I'm sure he thinks the made for cable TV Pentagon Wars movie is a documentary as well.
After seeing the drama Ian whipped up with his anti Rhodesian comments after his Larry Vickers FAL collaboration video I'm inclined to believe he likely shares similar opinions but is smart enough to not fly off the handle on the internet like Karl, or at the least learn from Karl's episodes that it isn't a good idea.
And I'm fine with that. Ian has a right to express his own opinions, but I appreciate that he keeps his politics out of his videos. Politics among guntubers are a time a dozen, sometimes we just wanna hear about guns.
Yeah, the sad reality is, Ian probably is pretty similar to Karl. I mean, they both went down the libertarian pipeline and came out on the wrong side. Ian is at least in his 40s, like Karl, and isn't married or has kids (as far as I know), so it's not hard to believe he's a "drag queen story hour" aficionado as well.
