From the perspective of passive interest, it always seemed clear that Keffals really only cared about attention. Trolling is fundamentally about getting as much reaction out of people as possible for the dumbest reasons and I think Keffals exemplifies this. Ratioing has a similar vibe with the core addition of justifications and mob mentality added to the mix. In this sense Keffals M.O doesn't really change as they focus on getting reactions and dog piling regardless of who the target is. Only because Keffals is lazy, they target whoever is closest and easiest. While the Kiwifarms was a big target for sure, the site and its owner are surprisingly stubborn, adaptable and intelligent so the #dropkiwifarms campaign could only last so long until Null inevitably out fatigues them. So like any starving animal Keffals started to cannibalize their own and that will always lead to scenarios like this. I may be misinformed but I always got the sense that Keffals was an old 4chan troll that fell for the "if you can' get women just become one" meme that went entirely too far because Keffals just refuses to admit they're wrong even if it means chopping off their penis in the process.
I like to call it Twitter cannibalizing itself, and it's not dissimilar to african spotted dogs devouring the weakest and wounded members of their pack.
