I don't think Ian is going to openly disavow Karl, partially because he knows a good chunk of his viewers are also woke. It's just what happens when you cast a wide apolitical net. I remember Ian mentioning he actively avoids talking politics and wants to keep the channel focused squarely on history and weapons at least twice in his Q&As, and at least once more in an interview (I think it was for TFB?). Can't get much more clear than that without angering the baying dangerhaired hordes.
