One reason for the coughing is grinding down stone without wearing a protective mask. Breathing in the dust particles can cause lung disease and several other health issues.

To be fair, KF doesn't always use it's influence to target transgender people. We helped Christine avoid prison twice, once for trying to run over someone with her car, and another time for attacking an unarmed game stop employee, so sometimes KF does use it's influence to help trans people.
