Hogwarts Legacy - Harry Potter open world RPG (no trannies allowed)

Now I don't know if it's just something on his end, but Discord doesn't seem to recognize Hogwarts Legacy as a game for my partner. So it is doesn't put "playing Hogwarts Legacy" on your profile. It would be interesting to see if this is common among others.
I'm having the same issue. A friend is also playing Hogwarts Legacy but it shows for her. I just thought it was maybe Discord breaking for me again since it hasn't wanted to show any other games as my status when I'm playing on my Xbox.

The game is fun so far. I haven't experienced much combat yet but exploring Hogwarts and Hogsmeade is very enjoyable. The areas are filled with little secrets, puzzles, and cool scenes. Once, I was walking past two suits of armor and they reanimated and one of them bonked the other on the head. The candy shop in Hogsmeade (Honeydews) has sweets that produces different magical effects if you eat them. What little combat I did seemed decent though I need to get deeper into the game before I decide if it's good or not.

The only thing I don't like so far is the Diablo-style scaling loot drops with rarity colors. A lot of open world games like to use this loot system (i.e. God of War 2018) and I would prefer unique drops like what you find in Dark Souls and Elden Ring. However, this is a minor gripe and it doesn't seem like getting the best loot and upgrading it will be as grindy as it was in God of War, but we will see.

Game's pretty fucking fun so far. I really enjoy running around and exploring and going off on a 6 side-quest tangent instead of doing the level 4 main quest story (I'm almost level 14.)

Between that and Null also having a shit ton of fun and there being little side routes for quests/dialogue it definitely seems worth the buy.

I had a similar issue, but you guys can just hit share application and stream it that way. I suppose the quality could be worse but I had no complaints, friend still said the audio/visuals were good looking.

Oh, you disagree with me? I'll spoil the game for you.
This is the same guy that started the media attack on the lead designer a year or two ago.
I find it really amusing that as much fun as I’m having with the game, the actual story is so bland that trying to spoil it doesn’t really work as that bit is something literally everyone playing already expected.

Hearing that second spoiler actually made me dread the game’s ending, because it sounded like they were going to go back on shit and reveal that it’s humanity who was evil all along.

NOPE. Final fight is still with Ranrok, and it’s cool as shit.

Just picked it up tonight, but fuck paying the extra 10 dollery-doos to get it two nights early when I'll have a grand total of 3 hours to play it until friday. But looking forwards to snuggling up together under a nice warm blanket, with some hot coco, her asshole cats, and having a romantic night in, celebrating the total genocide of troons we've caused by the light of a crucio.

These poor journos are so torn between consooming their manchild franchises and hating Rowling:
Hogwarts Legacy review-in-progress: It'd be a lot easier to dismiss Hogwarts Legacy if it weren't so good

I'm impressed by my first 32 hours, but also haunted by JK Rowling.

That's one way to deal with collision detection, I guess.

This feels like a PS2 game in terms of interactivity. People don't react to you or your spells at all, they just do their little routines and literally walk through you. Shoot a bolt at a window, it doesn't break but leaves a black spot that disappears in two seconds. You can't even make pumpkins explode. Meh.

Only played a few hours so far. It's not bad, nothing special but it's fine as far as open world RPGs go. I am glad that they started you older so you have more access to spells and self-defense. A shame Quidditch got cancelled but maybe that'll happen in a DLC.

You can make areas "unplottable" so they can't be found on a map, plus magic screws up electronic devices.
Does that include vacuum tubes and clockwork stopwatches?
Kingdom Come is actually really good and you're missing out if your whole reason for skipping it is "lol marketing controversy".
The entire marketing controversy was created whole-cloth by game journos because they refused to even talk about the game because the creator had the absolute gall to say the simple historical fact that there were no PoC in 1400's rural Bohemia. Hell, there aren't any Poc in rural Bohemia now, let alone before centuries of global migration.

Decent game so far.

I thought the opening sequence was very good, it got you right into the swing of things, didn't linger for too long and had some impressive set pieces.
That's the overall theme so far, like many people thought the standout about the game is definitely the work that went into the setting/world, potter fans will cream about this game based on that alone.
Not very far in so haven't gotten all the spells or anything yet, but so far the combat is more fun than I expected. It's arkham style at the core but because most attacks are ranged(when dealing with wizards) and there are the different colored bubbles you have to break with specific spells so it adds some extra dynamo to the flow. I will say that ancient magic feels like a crutch they added for people who wanna breeze through so far, it does a lot of damage and there's always at least 3-5 objects to toss with it. Maybe that's just a low lvl thing though.

Disappointed that they have you use teleporting as fast travel, I was hoping beyond hope they'd take full advantage of HP and have a set of hidden passages you could discover to get around the castle quickly. It would really add a lot to the feeling of immersion because you'd feel like you were mastering the castle as you got further in the game and discovered more of them .

Companions aren't that interesting or tied into the game that much rn, you have two to choose from but it's effectively one unless you want to deal with a Ugandan Gryffindor girl that apparently comes from a Ugandan school that's the biggest in the world and they don't need wands. Great stuff.

Played just a little bit more. Did a couple of quests and got legendary gloves. I claimed them in the quest menu. I went into the gear menu and could'nt figure out how to equip them. Anyone know? Its probibly something basic I can't seem to find.
