Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

He's been such an obnoxious bastard about it I hope some sort of odd graphical quirk makes it unplayable for him but nobody else. He doesn't deserve happiness.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news.....

He was sick during the Direct, so he couldn't hype to his fullest extent, if that helps:

Damn, I wanted to hear that fucker screach as his eyeballs melted. Instead we'll have to settle for Arlo the puppet going down to penis town as Arlo the human pleasures himself to thoughts of being a twelve year old again.

Okay guys, was just browsing the file system of Prime remastered, there is a folder called 'Preload' which includes universal assets like GUI and Samus and stuff, there is a folder next to MPR1 (Metroid Prime Remastered 1) straight up just called MPRT (Metroid Prime Remastered Trilogy). The file system also looks like it could easily slot in the other games, since all the Prime 1 files are in root folders with their own MP1 folder inside those. Trilogy remaster is coming, and this release is literally ripped straight out of it. 1676005385111.png1676005343058.png

Is this a bait post? the GC's disk weren't a gimmick. They weren't used as a selling point. And the GC's controller was perfectly normal gamepad. It wasn't Wiimotes.
I like the GC controller but I wouldn't call it "normal".

Also they probably could sell an MP Trilogy Pack but there's no way they'll sell the first game and then a trilogy pack. People would be pissed.

They haven't made a competitive console since the 64 which was immediately outclassed by the PSX, and ever since they've gone for gimmicks over specs. The GC literally used discs of half the size of PSX and made a wacky controller for no real reason.
NGC was stronger than Dreamcast & PS2, and the controller was mostly fine aside from missing another Z button. It actually felt good and has more good games to go back to than the Xbox and arguably Dreamcast.

they've nothing to measure it up against; say, a good game for the PS5.
Yeah... all, what, 2 of them?

It was normal enough at the time, half the controllers of that generation didn't really conform to what we know as the standard today.

Why market anything Nintendo, period? They created their own market with no competition. Nobody goes "Hmm, Switch or PS5?". They groomed a generation or two with Pokemon and they don't need new fans because they'll release the next Zelda game with a new OLED Switch model and people will buy their 5th Switch to finance the smoll indie developer.

This is lunacy. I've been mostly a Sony fanboy since the PS1. I owned a GC and Wii in uni because it had games I wanted. Same with the Switch. The Switch is the rpg machine the Playstation used to be. I rarely buy first party Nintendo titles except WarioWare and MarioKart and I hate Pokémon. They have the weird shit Sony used to have. There's no version of Fight Crab on the PS5. And Nintendo doesn't censor like Sony does now. When I bought Omega Labyrinth Life in Hong Kong, I paid the Switch tax to get that version because they're not pushing an agenda.

Nintendo is the company Sony used to be, which is hilarious and it's why people like me, who used to be Sony fans, have jumped ship.

I'm thinking that either this release was intended to be a trilogy release and they decided to split them up for maximum milking of profit, or they will release a collection after they release each game individually, for even more profit. The file system looks like the other games could be added as DLC, the way its set up, but there is probably no reason for that when they can charge another 40 bucks each + 60 bucks for trilogy pack in a year or two.

The one thing that's right here is that nobody goes "hmm, switch or ps5".

Mid-generation semi-upgrades are something I despise with a burning passion. They're also not something unique to Nintendo - the PS4 Pro and the XBox One X both are hardware revisions that substantially improve performance... which games promptly used and thus became less optimised for the base models. I genuinely appreciate Nintendo's mid-console just having a better lighting system and nothing else, so I DON'T have to buy it.
I've had one switch ever, from the start. The only reason I'll buy a new one is if I leave it on the train like a bumbling moron.

Yes, and most of the time the competition have been falling over themselves trying to copy those gimmicks. Because they go for gimmicks over specs, they sidestep the graphical rat-race that is specs. This generally makes them the cheapest to develop for, too, even with the weird gimmicks. The Wii tapped into gaming markets that people didn't even know existed, and the switch got the pc market copying it. The DS practically paved the way for the modern smartphone. The Wii U was... bad. No point sugarcoating it. But they were able to soldier through it, because they were still riding the high of the Fuck You Money of the Wii.

The GC literally used discs of half the size of PSX and made a wacky controller for no real reason.
I didn't include this, because this isn't a gimmick. It wasn't advertised on the power of this or anything like that. A little paradoxically, I'll also state that the GBC controller is the only controller I know of that has a fandom of it's own, and is continually made backwards compatible. Unless you mean the Wiimote, in which case, see above.

They're releasing half-baked first-party games and people buy them at $60, play for 4 hours and ditch it forever,
Actually, basically everyone would say the backbone of nintendo is their rock-solid first party library being nearly all best in their class or the most polished, or at the very least solid and unique. Best mascot platformers, best party games, there's genres that basically don't exist outside of Nintendo consoles.

Never mind that there are literally whole channels dedicated to playing nintendo franchises or even single games. Mario Maker, Breath of the Wild, Pokémon. And they're not built as streamer bait like the indie horror scene. they just are loved and have stuff that streamers can really work with.

feeling confident in the purchase cause they've nothing to measure it up against; say, a good game for the PS5.
Nobody can measure up their Switch games to their PS5. Because nobody has a PS5. And those that do don't have many games that they needed a PS5 to get.

Wait, you're black?
Indeed I am. We wuz sky pirates and shieeeet.

Nintendo's Investor Q&A Promises Switch Isn't Dead After Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Nintendo Switch is coming up on its seventh year of sales in March, and we see this as uncharted territory in the history of our dedicated video game platforms. Under these circumstances it is hard to imagine that hardware sales will continue to grow at the same pace they have to date. However, there are titles under development for Nintendo Switch, and new titles will continue to be proposed going forward.

Nintendo products are primarily used by children who aren't old enough to remember any of this shit. The reason Nintendo is able to succeed over and over again with recycled concepts is kids have zero awareness of things that happened before they were born. Hell, they barely even remember last year. A 9-year-old doesn't feel confident in his purchase because he doesn't spend the money. His parents do. Did the Switch keep my boy entertained? Yes? Money well spent!
