Hogwarts Legacy - Harry Potter open world RPG (no trannies allowed)

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This game has one of the worst character creators I've ever seen. For a game all about basically fulfilling every kid's fantasy of getting to self insert as a Hogwarts student. I had to download a fucking mod to make myself white, because otherwise the lightest skin tone is peachy mexican.

No body types, no facial hairs, prerendered faces that are mostly some flavor of negroid. Just dreadful.

Was this whole ordeal some sort of weird reverse-psychology ad campaign?

I almost never buy games at full price these days, but I decided to buy Legacy because of the tranny boycott + it looked pretty fun on Dear Sneeder’s stream. I’ve been very impressed with the game, it’s a lot better than I expected. The combat feels good and is surprisingly challenging at times. The environment is beautiful.

I have only a few minor complaints so far. I’m not thrilled with the shallow itemization/stats, but it makes sense for a kid’s game. The field of view feels cramped, particularly indoors, and when I changed the FoV setting it didn’t seem to make much of a difference. NPCs don’t really react to you much, you just overhear conversations as you walk past. The game crashed once right after I changed the graphics settings, but otherwise stability/performance has been fine.

I give it a solid -ACK! out of 10

Someone posted a mod on Nexus that unlocked content for the game on PC (which includes the PS5 exclusive sidequest and other items), and it got quickly nuked from oblivion.

An anon on 4chan thankfully managed to grab it in time. I do have the file (and it works), but I'm still pondering on whether or not I should post it here. Would it cause trouble for Null?

I wouldn't risk it, personally. The PS5 quest makes it a risk, legally speaking, as that's something that could be convincingly argued is a serious 'theft', rather than a cheat, if that makes any sense.

Based nigga doesn't afraid of anything.

Not based, just "normal". Saying "playing a game doesn't make me transphobic, you weirdos" is the most normie response of anyone who's not deep in the woke cult. But he's still saying "oh well maybe J. K. Rowling is transphobic, but I'm NOT".

"Yes." is the only based response to getting accused of being a transphobe.

Did anyone really truly care about the "spoilers" because even if you spoiled San Andreas I would have still played it for the better part of half a decade. I'm not comparing these two but you get the idea that the ending ain't the biggest selling point here.

These people are all about muh narrative and muh script. They're used to watching shitty hollywood MCU movies, they can't conceive of anything worse than being prematurely told how a fictional story unfolds. What is RPG, what is gameplay, what is immersion? Never heard. That's also why they think something like Depression Quest is a good game.

Pretty much sums it up.

Still an exceptionally faggy move. It was funny when people did it when the books came out, cause they did it specifically to fuck with people for laughs. When you're scrolling Twitter and some passive aggressive tranny posts an image with spoilers, it just comes across as really bitter and twisted. I don't like my fun being coloured that way, ruins the vibe.

so kiwis the game got a positive reception which is surprising
how are you guys liking it
I'm enjoying it. I believe it's largely a clone of the recent Assassin's Creed games with a Harry Potter skin. A 7/10 game on its own merits, but add 1–3 points depending on how much you like Harry Potter or just the idea of hanging out in a wizard school.

My big disappointment is the lack of interactivity or any emergent gameplay. You can't mess around with your spells in any fun ways, and NPCs don't react to you at all outside of scripted scenes. Also, wish there was more of a roleplaying aspect, your character doesn't have much of a personality (and neither does anyone else, to be honest). Would be fun if you could lie or be a dick to people, or solve quests in alternative ways.

It's probably too much to expect, considering they couldn't even add quidditch in time, but I hope they improve those things in the next game.

I am disappointed the gardener does sell some ammonium nitrate to go along with his fertilizer.

It's for my courses I swear....

To be fair, even if you can still enjoy it, and even if the gameplays still good, it can sour the experience. Take something like Fallout for example (I'll use NV since it's jerked off so much.) Yeah, you're there for the builds and the gameplay, but if you were told House was a potato up front, or what the chip was, it robs a bit of the fun. Shitty enough as is, but now you remember that this was done by troons dilating over a woman saying she wants women shelters to be a safe place for women.

Yeah, at the end of the day, it might only ding your experience a little, but a little is still more than they deserve. You're not gonna throw the game out, but you're going to be bitter when you hear about the chip, and all of the fun of speculating is gone.

Pro tip (actually might be obvious, but I only noticed it after ten hours): you can change your appearance independently of your equipment, so you can always equip the things with the best stats while still looking however you want. And all the clothing items you've found always remain available to wear, even if you sell or destroy the actual equipment pieces.
