I don't know the real reason in this case, but if it's anything like literally all the rest of his cases then it boils down to Ethan's irrational hatred of capitalism and "the right" political spectrum as a whole. Either that or he is white knighting for someone. Even googling this for two seconds turns up that insane website Ethan made about the guy, which if it really was Ethan that made it he is gonna be so fucked. I speculate the reasoning for Ethan hating him basically just based on everything Ethan has ever done.

It's over a DMCA that Kavanaugh threw at him over a boxing clip. Ethan went out of his way to build an entire website to call him Harvey Weinstein in response.

This ivory tower kike genuinely thought he'd just never feel consequences for monetizing drama mongering so aggressively. He finally ran into someone who took charge, rather than turn it into a circus, it seems. I hope Susan is a good enough friend to lend him a little bit for such a fat L.

Also like the article says, he actually started up a gofundme for his Kavanaugh case, despite making millions and owning two large houses in the LA. This isn't even falling off at this point. It's burrowing into the ocean floor.

Ethan's response has been to insult the judge as a "crusty old fuck" and say he's appealing the decision.

He's not suing him over the DMCA he's suing him for defamation and tortious interference. Below is an extract from an article in the Hollywood reporter.

plaintiff has provided evidence that negative reviews were left in the Apple and Google app stores using similar language as the Podcasts at issue to show that Defendants directed their fans to commit wrongful conduct

Ryan Kavanaugh is surprisingly a bigger piece of shit than even Ethan, so I don't want him to win and hurt future lawsuits for fair use & mocking fat scumbag retards. On the other hand Ethan is due for more Ls and making a spectacle of it. It's going to be a spicy show either way.

I’m not even familiar with Kavanaugh, but I take you at your word he’s a piece of shit.

However, Ethan Klein has this situation with his golden boy optics, that he can say crazy shit and face zero consequences, that makes his sucking a dick in this situation important.

That sounded off, if that was enough to win a lawsuit then every user here would be in millions of debt.

They allege that Ethan asked his fans (in Discord, and in stream) to write badly about Ryan, edit his Wikipedia ("make Kavanaugh's Wikipedia read as bad as possible" - Klein) and write bad shit about him all over the internet. Also unspecific false claims.
