The consensus on reddit seems to be that Kaylee and Jonathan are expecting twins for some reason. Personally, I think they're announcing Timmay's courtship with Aunt Ellen's girl. Though it's also been about three months since Nurie had NEWMAN! so it's also probably time for her to be pregnant again.

Jonathan doesn't come from the same kind of super IBLP background that Nathan does; there's nothing in his family background that indicates he'll expect Kaylee to labor alone and at home, like Nathan's family expects.

If Kaylee is having twins for her first birth, she won't be accepted by the kind of backwoods "birthing center" Nurie has used; they'd send her on to a hospital because they don't want the liability.

There's something very off-putting about this gal. Maybe it's just the combo of her body being underweight and the dress being too big, but her features just don't fit together right. Her arms are too small and short for her body, her neck is too long, her head is weirdly angular, her nose is off-center, her ears are lopsided and sit too low on her head...
