TRANSLATION: Despite our best efforts to cause this game to fail and ideally get J K Rowling killed, this game is proving hugely successful. We take this as a personal insult, because HOW DARE YOU enjoy something without our permission?

IMO the malding rage over the wizard game goes deeper than "enjoying something without permission". They thought they had the power to ruin the life and reputation of anyone who doesn't bend the knee. OK, they couldn't bring JKR herself to heel because she has more money than God, but they still hounded everyone who ever worked on Harry Potter to disavow her. And now it's just...not working. The screaming and threats and THIS IS LITERALLY KILLING TRANS PEOPLE hyperbole are the same as ever but they don't seem to be landing. People are playing the game, despite the fact that they've been ordered to boycott it. This is the first time they've ever seen their mobbing power fizzle, and it's rattled them to the core.

Wait a second, I thought that "blood libel" was a kike thing? Like the hook noses get way bent out of shape when the goyim use it. I'm sorry but if the troons are the only people in the world who get to be antisemitic, they're going to get recruits. I think this is on track. Rowling was a leftist darling for years until she made the mistake of asking people to please respect her biological reality as a woman and didn't back down after being 'politely corrected'.

Do these people even remember what she said that set them off? She's become a TERF leader whose rhetoric literally kills thousands of trans people every day but all anybody ever says now is 'she's queen transphobe' and has been 'outspoken against trans people'. I think they've really devolved into circular fury to such an extent that all anybody knows is that she's nebulously but violently transphobic-- and, as you say, cannot be controlled.

My personal theory is that the 1,001 articles around the turn of the century about how Harry Potter is sexist, racist, anti-Semitic, not gay enough, and every other variety of non-adherence to left-wing orthodoxy circa 1998 broke her.

It's never enough for these people. Trying to appease them is a waste of time.
