2023 Ohio train derailment and aftermath - WE REQUIRE MORE PHOSGENE GAS

Looks like the leaked manifest (posted here) was correct.

Plus, there's a "city councilman from NW Ohio" denouncing it.

More from the city councilman:

He also apparently deleted some comments, which according to one user were "downplaying" the situation.

Based on my preliminary research, the derailed train of Vinyl Chloride is going to be something of a short term calamity with hopefully few long term effects. Apart from the cause of the derailment most everything else makes sense.
<- Informative thread. The conservative conspiratarding over this seemed to be being pushed heavily. I don't know what to believe, but I find that a worrisome sign. That Stew Peters is pushing this makes me even more suspicious.

BREAKING: Emergency crews are responding to a train derailment in Enoree, South Carolina.
It looks like Black Tom Cruise has downed another unidentified Chinese train.

Another comment:
He's right. Most all of the Ohio news sites I can find have had the derailment news front and center.

Other chemicals mentioned in manifest aren't as dangerous as vinyl chloride. Arguably, benzene is the worst of them (carcinogen, slow degradation, easily contaminates water supply), but benzene tanks weren't breached.

NS is no stranger to Superfund sites, which this will become. They have 16 active ones. EPA's Superfund site search.

As to the conspiracy about the controlled burn being intended to release chemicals, this had the potential for explosion. Probably through a BLEVE during which the pressure relief device functions, however as the liquid in the tanker car vaporizes any flame impingement on the vapor space combined with the lack of a high enough liquid level cooling the metal causes a massive failure and explosion. What I'm not clear on is I thought the fires were out. Another possibility would be failure of the PRDs or some other component, release of a vapor cloud. If there's an ignition source and the air/vapor mixture met the lower explosive limit it would still be an explosion.

If you believe the air monitoring results there was a lot of pollution after the controlled burn which dissipated. There was impact to the water in the area (if we assume its not from any other source) as there are VOCs and SVOCs from the EPA sampling on 2/4 and we'll likely see more results in the future.

What's known as an ECP (electronically controlled pneumatic braking) might become a talking point if it gets mainstream. There's a site commenting on the railroad companies lobbying to prevent DOT, NTSB and other regulatory agencies from requiring electronically controlled pneumatic braking systems on high hazard trains (archive). I'm not a railroad engineer but I know physics and doubted the effectiveness in a derailment. Yep I'm right (archive), Transportation Resource Board requested the Federal Railroad Administration to update its simulations and 20% improvement turned into a much lower number. There's only one sentence on the Biden admin forcing the rail workers into a crappy deal last year.

3 train derailments in the space of two weeks is not fucking normal something is fishy.

The fact only a few wagons and not the whole trains was Vinyl Chloride helps explain why it was so quickly "solved" as it would mean a much smaller spill than originally thought.

Also I wanna point out the only people really pushing that "this was a intentional poisoning of the USA guys!!!!" was some 4chan screencap and some people reporting it on twitter. Most people who are worried about this are of the opinion it is simply a accident being covered up due to embarrassment.

It apparently is

Some more info, apparently the Ohio River, which serves over 10% of the US Population, has reportedly become contaminated due to chemicals from the East Palestine train derailment. The river supplies public drinking water to over 5 million people in addition to industries all the way to West Virginia, effecting over 30 million people who live in the Ohio River Basin.

3 More Chemicals discovered that were on the train according to News Nation.

Here's a screenshot of the 3 chemicals found

I don't think it's psyops. I think the people in charge are evil, incompetent, and willing to throw each under the bus on a dime. They usually can cover up shit when they can lie about racism and shit, but this is a tremendous fuck-up.

Sorta related: Does anybody have an all-in-one downloadable library of chemical Safety Data Sheets?

It just seems like a thing better to have than not.
It's called "Google".
You go on Google, write "Carbon Tetrachloride SDS", find a PDF and download it. That's it.

There are 6 gorillion chemicals.
