Disney Adults / Disneymania

Even as someone who enjoys animation as an art form myself as an adult, I acknowledge most of these things are primarily for children.
Enjoying animation and other forms of content "for kids" is not a problem in itself. It becomes problematic if it's the main content you're consuming: it means your brain has become so smooth that it's hard for it to absorb anything even slightly complex. In all other cases, the diversity of media is rather good thing than bad.

It becomes problematic if it's the main content you're consuming: it means your brain has become so smooth that it's hard for it to absorb anything even slightly complex. In all other cases, the diversity of media is rather good thing than bad.

And as some commentators, like Matt Walsh, have mentioned, adults consuming "kiddie" media isn't the problem. It's that said overgrown children are completely consumed by it and are made dumber by it. And that they're genetic dead ends that won't have any children that they'll enjoy it with. A sad, sad existence.

That said, has anyone else noticed how exactly this is affecting the industry in a negative way? There's subtle hints that Disney is trying to market towards these genetic dead ends, a very bad business strategy in the long run. But also, ever notice how adult cartoons like Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are specifically trying to market towards these Disney adults?

Said cartoons have the tone of a Disney cartoon, with any real beauty or innocence removed, replaced with profanity and unfunny vulgar humor.

The Passport to Dreams Old and New archives are still a great read for anyone interested in the history of Disney parks. It also reveals another side of adult Disney fandom: all of the weird sexual deviants. Chris "FoxxFur" Nolte, the author of Passport to Dreams, is an obese, trooned out furry/brony. He actually worked at Disney World at some point but left to spend much of the past decade and a half writing for his (interesting) Disney blog and drawing for his (horrifying) DA and FA accounts. His specialty is "tf" with a side of pregnancy.

For example, there's this lovely image of a girl(?) transforming into a pregnant Figment the purple dragon (from a ride at Epcot):

For those who can't get enough of horribly malformed, pregnant Disney characters, here are his accounts:

Wowsers, this is a person who I've been reading since 2010 or 2011 and I didn't know about this side of them.

Obviously I knew they were a furry, but for years I thought they were actually a woman, naively not knowing much about trans stuff back in the day, eventually that became clear, but I still didn't know they did creepy fetish art.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised though, they once shared a story where they freaked their parents out by being able to recite all the dialog from Sleeping Beauty word for word before it was said, so they've obviously been a little "special".

Yeah I used to be a Disney Kid back in the 2000s. Went there many times over and did all the rides, it's was a lot cheaper back then that's for sure and the perks you got were much better, probably due to 9/11 and then the Recession. But I never made it my whole life like some of these fanatics. It's what happens when you don't believe in God. You have to find something to fill that void and for these people it's Disney. Not saying all of the Disney fanatics are Atheists I am sure many of them believe in some form of Religion but it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of these Disney Fanatics are the Reddit-tier atheists who go on about how theres No God but then act like Walt Disney is a reincarnation of Jesus or some shit like that.
Yup. That's Idolatry for you. Something not just Disney but big corporations in general try and take advantage of.

It honestly is amazing to me how people just willingly throw away so much money on tacky garbage and frequent trips to Disneyland. Surely constantly visiting the park would cause the novelty to wear off?

I mean, they are literally selling luxury property next to the theme park. I doubt that all the houses were bought exclusively by families with children.
How many of those houses you reckon will ever be actually lived in as opposed to becoming Airbnbs or the rich-people-equivalent thereof?

I take the "subtle" bit back.
On the "subtle" thing, something that's always bugged me about Disney adults is the obvious branding of the things they prefer to consume.
If I saw a woman with this necklace, I wouldn't think "Wow that woman probably is in debt for Disney tickets" I'd just think "That a woman who likes Disney, or that film has special significance for her."

But then there's shit like this from the same collection:

And it just feels different for the same reason it's hard to define what a Disney adult is vs. an adult Disney fan, but you know it when you see it.
Check out the promo bar on this site, looks like they're rolling out the live-action Little Mermaid promos already:

THEY USE THE SAME MODEL FOR MERIDA, LMAO

Nah, they're fans of Disney in the sense that leftists are fan of Lovecraft: They despise the man, but they love his works and the genre he helped to create.

Even Disney seems to hold its founder with contempt now as they've removed his opening speech because he praised America. It's honestly ridiculous.

Disney adults are not real functioning adults in modern society. It’s no different from Marvel/DC adults that view current events ans social issues with Iron Man and Captain America references, and why Harley Quinn is a feminist icon.

Also, because of OP’s thread, it’s given me an excuse to post this fight:

the doctor said she should exercise more, so she did.

@ASeabeari know my formatting is off. I have this weird bug where every time I type text it bugs out.

Holy shit that headless-limbless Belle dress is hilarious. At first I thought it was a seashell.
Why the hell do almost all of their jewelry look so tasteless? These are either unreasonably thick pieces of metal, or a crazy scattering of stones, or both.
I think this one is my favorite:

Even some plumbing parts look more precious.

Military tag, seriously?

I want to punch the woman in the last video in the face until she's not alive and then probably continue for a few minutes more.

Shout out the OP for sifting through this literal river of twee shit. Almost all of these people should be gassed and I endorse commiting any crime up until murder against them.

Thank you OP for making this thread. Disney adults are best described as adults who have "Peter Pan Syndrome". I can understand adults enjoying taking their kids to Disneyland and having fun with them as a family but childless adults? I believe there is a quote in the Bible about how one needs to grow up and put away childish things. Plus, I don't see the appeal of Disneyland. Went there a few months ago with my family. It was the most miserable experience I ever had in my life. Park was just filled with fags, childless couples and Mexicans that did nothing but spit on the ground and not wash their hands when coming out of the bathroom. Park food was godawful. Not to mention that the park is overcrowded, dirty and with rides constantly malfunctioning and having to go through maintenance. Would never recommend the park to anybody.

Don't know if Clownfish TV has been talked about here yet, but they do have a thread on Kiwi Farms already. (Maybe it can be merged with this one because it's kind of slow.)

Anyway, they're kind of like the anti-disney adults. They used to have a blog about Disney parks but their youtube channel gained success by becoming part of The Fandom Menace/Disney hate bandwagon that became a thing around the time The Last Jedi came out.

So instead of loving Disney they just kind of hate-sperg about anything Disney related, which kind of defines The Fandom Menace in a nutshell.

Pics stolen from their OP.
