It's even worse. All this controversy inspired me to pick up her "The Silkworm" so she made even more money. I'm still reading it but I'll be back with a short review \ highlights once I'm done.
So far: if not for the fact that the book is nearly as old as KF I'd say it was written by an avid reader. One of the characters is literally Chris and two others are lolcows, including one troon.

It cracked me up when the troons got so mad over a killer in one of her books who dressed as a woman as part of a disguise, since that wasn't a troon at all, but she had actually written a troon into one of her books, and that troon is as narcissistic, shitty, histrionic as every real troon, and none of them complained about that. If they wanted to complain about something, that would have been a better complaint. Except, of course that it was an accurate portrayal of how fucked up troons are.

Against the few real psychos out there, Rowling has a few advantages simply by living in the UK. Fewer guns, more intense surveillance apparatus, and she lives way out in the middle of nowhere with a security apparatus available to her. And she doesn't show up in public very often either.
