To be honest, zwarte piet is losing a slow war of attrition. Despite 75% of people wanting to keep it (including the majority of people in former colonies where most people are black like Suriname), the 5% activists that want it gone and raising a stink with media and political support are destroying it. This is gonna be an unpopular opinion in a cow thread so "trigger warning"

This just confirms my belief that Tate being smeared in the media as the devil is just a frame up job. Sure he's a human trafficker, but others are still around, more prominent and famous than Tate doing that and not arrested, not even reported. There are well known NGOs and corporations doing this. What makes Tate so special?

I think it's because Tate is a largely uncontrolled media figure. He runs his own scams, trafficks his own girls. So he's not beholden to the larger Western establishment. No, I believe the justice system works only when the powers that be want it to work. I've read many articles on famous people, and their mysterious deaths after agreeing to give up information. Epstein probably the most famous example. The establishments aren't the bulwarks of impartiality you assume they are. They are there to protect the elite class, and punish you, and their adversaries.
