I get the sense that people like Nora actually crave "bigots" and "hate groups" to fight. They are losers whose self-esteem is built on fighting oppression, but there isn't much real oppression to left to fight. They would probably be happier if there was an actual fascist movement in America or something.

Exactly. Nora is part of those deluded fucks who keep seeing hate where it doesn't exist because they want an enemy to fight, and since without an enemy they have boring, colorless lives that don't let them be special, they pick a fight and then whine about the reaction to prove they are a proud warrior against hate.

Which is hypocritical bullshit, since Nora is basically the enemy she wishes to fight. She oozes hate and contempt for anyone that won't enable her, gets into petty fights where she hurls all sorts of childish insults, and seethes with bitterness over stupid shit.

And since she's too much of a coward to look in the mirror and punch the glass, she picks fights because she can't face that the biggest bigot in her life is the asshole making spambots on Twitter.

I can't speak for anyone else here but I didn't address her hoping she would change, I did it because it's so much more satisfying to watch someone metaphorically hang themselves after specifically warning them of what will happen if they dont change their ways.

I learned a long time ago that most people surround themselves with comfortable white lies to the point that the truth becomes a horribly destructive thing for them to be exposed to.

I think that philosophy describes Nulls vision for the farms, too.

Idk, I feel like they would crumple and deflate pretty quickly if they were ever seriously challenged on something irl. I could just see the nu-fascists cyber bullying people like Nora to death without doing anything directly to them. They want to be warriors for social justice but realistically they would not stand a chance accomplishing anything against actual organized right wing people.
