Back to Rowling, I have a little field report that won't surprise anyone: a shop with licensed Harry Potter merch opened last year in my general area and I went to check it out a few weeks before the game's release and today. Both times it was chock-full of people - mostly millennials buying chocolate frogs and hari pota board games to play with their kids, women in their early twenties wearing Gryffindor scarfs, you get the idea. Even some dangerhairs, because shop owners were smart and set up a corner with generic, fashionable "witchy" stuff like crystals and tarot cards.

I even did my part to accelerate the genocide and bought a set of little matching trinkets for myself and my uterus-owning galpals.

tl;dr real world truly don't give a shit, relax, point and laugh

Not caring about their autistic screeching causes them more pain than responding with "YWNBAW, so cope, seethe and dilate." They rely on being the MOST PERSECUTED PEOPLE EVER and use the name-calling as oppression signals that make them look like victims. Ignoring their demands and slogans reminds them how little power they really have and hits them right in the core of their narcissistic being.

Same here, this is the only consoooming I support because we can't speak out. Note how all the Twitch streamers bullied into submission are women. They see us as easy targets.

Harry Potter isn’t just an IP, it’s an industry. What do WB have in their stable that even comes close? All the troons in the world couldn’t make a dent in it. The boycott was never going to work. Absolute worst case scenario, the game would have flopped, WB would have shrugged and resumed counting their money.

They've realized that the streamers are where they can vent their rage. They are probably not going to go after big, foreign companies like CoverCorp(JP), but they figure they can call for harassment on Twitch and Youtube with no consequences. They aren't going to make a dent in Hogwart's Legacy sales (or anything else related to Harry Potter). Hogwart's Legacy 2 is basically inevitable now, and I wouldn't be surprised at a Hogwart's Legacy TV show on HBO Max soon.

However, they can scream rape and death threats at random normie streamers who just want to play the funny Wizard game until they either toughen up or collapse. (Hopefully most people know by now that apologizing just puts a target on your back, and doesn't lower the harassment at all. If not, I guess they'll learn.)

While these people are bottom-feeding losers, they have great understanding of where they are influential. They aren't going to go after Sony or Microsoft for providing the game on consoles in anything but a token, half-hearted way. They probably won't go to GameStop and knock over shelves while screaming "It's Ma'am!" (though if they do I hope someone catches it on video). I wonder if Hogwart's Legacy 2 will get the same treatment? I wonder if Hogwart's Legacy 4 will get the same treatment?
