Is Edmiston even a real person? I remember reading how there were fake medical professionals Twitter profiles going viral when they validated leftist ideas about COVID.

Yes, Edmiston is a real person who works for WPATH and he worked on the same text that Singal is quoting. But Edmiston worked on the adult section of it, whereas Singal was quoting from the adolescent section. The two sections have different teams of writers and Edmiston is just one out of 25 contributors to the adult section. So he's not just lying, he's likely in professional trouble too.
