I interrupt your bitchfight to bring you a new Disturban. And a story about a sociopathic autist who may or may not have set fire to his trailer home on purpose which ended up burning his infant brother to death.

Honestly, it's hard for me to form a strong opinion on this one considering how incomplete the truth seems to be muddled in between the kid changing his story numerous times and the police not recording the interrogation or providing him a lawyer

Man I've noticed a huge uptick of newfags sparking up slap fights lately. I personally liked the new Dreading video though.
I would prefer he edit interviews down more. I agree we don’t need two or more minutes of a pedo asking for directions. These channels need to stop using interviews as a crutch for their content. It just looks lazy and makes the video boring to listen to.

i have a fresh new idea for an analog horror video
what if i edited together a bunch of portraits from thispersondoesnotexist.com with the eyes blacked out and some SVGs of stickfigures i took from google while narrating it with a text-to-speech voice

Don't forget to shill some shirts and mugs for those millennial hogs.

Maybe some plushies if you feel like it.

Damn, Kane is moving fast. Good for him, but hopefully shit doesn't go to his head.

That being said, I have a few questions about how copyright works.

  • Does the fact the idea of the backrooms come from a 4chan post make the idea public domain, creative commons, or free to take for themselves?
  • Could the anon who made the backrooms concept sue for royalties as its his idea?
  • Much of the iconic imagery of the backrooms is based on existing photos. Would Kane and the studios need to ask the photographer of the image for the original post for permission for the film?
I know Kane would treat the film right, but it's still an investment to producers so I imagine it'll be shit due to forced script changes or simply not being good for screen adaptation

Depends. Would you sell sweatshop-made hoodies of the characters as official merch for $50 or for $60?

What a fantastic idea. I am a nobody with a sub-100k subcription Youtube account, but I make quality videos, do lots of research, and have a quirky personality that appeals to generation Z. Let us collab together to promote your analog horror ARG so I can become sponsored by a VPN and aspire to one day have sex with multiple fans like any other self-respecting Youtuber. Be sure to violently beat and verbally abuse your girlfriend during production to distract from the lack of new videos to keep fans invested in you.

Glad I found this thread. Atrocity Guide is awesome and I’ve been binging her content.

There was one Nexpo video that I kind of liked, but it turned into shit because it dragged on. He dove into that old Worlds game from the 90s. I love obscure old Internet stuff like that. Does anyone have any recommendations for creators that cover weird old Internet stuff?

I highly recommend Pseudiom.
The subject matter of his videos varies - from folklore oddities to Internet weirdness to downright bizarre obscurities. His videos are not for everyone, but it's definitely worth a view!

I've been going back and watching Debunk File lately. He does overviews of creepy internet shit, old ARGs, 4chan deep dives, etc. Didn't see it mentioned in thread, may be interesting to some here. Pretty average but good background listening.

eta: He apparently did a video a couple of years ago where he revisited Monkey Hate and interviewed someone in the scene. I couldn't be bothered to watch it as I was relaxing, not stressing, but if someone else finds it interesting enough might want to crosspost to the Million Pity thread. eta2: posted video to relevant thread.
