Containment What will happen when Barb dies?

you would probably have to check government records because there is no way barb will get an obituary or funeral unfortunately
I think her sister Harriet may do an obituary, and also may appear at her funeral, but I doubt there'd be a large attendance for Barb's funeral, unless those attendee's were weens. Barb I guess dedicated her life to be the most unplesant person possible which is why she doesn't have any friends, and at best, her family tolerates her enough to put up with her, similar to Chris (obviously, the two are a lot alike). I don't think I can trust Chris to write her obituary, given what he thinks of her currently. I can expect a lot of sonichu and merge references.

I acknowledge that this is especially morbid but I genuinely don't know whether Chris or the Farms will be the first to learn when Barb passes.
Neither, presumably.

People do literally disappear into the night without fanfare; no obituary, memorial, funeral.

It's quite sad when no one wants others to celebrate their life (don't ask) but sometimes it's their preference.

Particularly if they were selfish old witch types like Barb and my grandmother.

Maybe the autism, or maybe because Chris is just as unpleasant as his mom (or both), but it must suck for Chris when Barb dies. Losing both parents in one's post prime years, and Chris having the mental understanding of a spoiled child speaks volumes of Barb and Bob's jobs as parents looking back. Chris really took his life for granted after everything his parents (mainly Bob) gave him, only to figuratively and literally spending it away. I'm certain he may go to Barb's funeral, he has that right. But I doubt he'd want to, and this is after what he'd done to her, how he'd wish Barb would hurry up and die, and now possibly never seeing her again until she dies is unnerving for some or many people, but not Chris.

You'd probably just have to go to Bob's niche which already has Barb on it and see if they've added a date.

Why do people have to be reminded of this morbid actual fact so continuously? This is an obvious fucking thing, you clowns.

When Barb is dead, there will be an obvious change to an actual physical, observable object that literally anyone can go and see.

Quit being fucking retards. She's alive until a couple digits get carved into that stone.

I need...space.

Wide, open spaces.

you'd be surprised how many grave markings are left unfinished because the family can't be bothered to pay for it. sometimes there is also miscommunication among family on who will pay for it so it just gets completely forgotten. there is no requirement from the cemetery outside of putting the corpse where it needs to be.

gluing some letters on a crypt is probably not as expensive as engraving a headstone but even if it costs only 200-300 dollars there is a possibility no one will want to pay for it.

i think it would just depend on exactly when barb dies. if barb dies right now while chris is still in custody harriet will probably make sure shes taken care of. if barb outlives harriet and becomes a ward of the state then most likely no one will want to take responsibility over her body so the state of virginia will cremate her and (hopefully as opposed to a potters grave) have her put next to bob then try to recover money from the estate.

because this is chris related though what will actually happen is capital one will take possession of the urn, put the ashes in a plastic bag and then a ween will steal the bag and there will be numerous threads detailing and debating the barbs ashes saga

I doubt they'll do an obit. They wouldn't want to advertise to the trolls. And I'm sure there won't be a funeral. Barb has no one to come to her funeral. You don't pay thousands of dollars for a box and trappings if no one is going to come.

Are Bob and Barb's niches side by side, or do they share the same one? If it's the latter, it would require a permit and extra charges to disinter Bob to pop her in with him. She'll probably just be burned up and scattered somewhere. The family probably doesn't care. Graves are for people who have mourners who care.

I would pay to see Chris' reaction to her death, the only person left to shelter him.

Given Chris' infamy, it's likely she will be cremated just like Bob, lest some angry trolls defile her grave.

It doesn't matter who finds out first. Simply put given all the incredibly personal information we've gathered about Chris over the years, I am confident we'll find out about Barb's death eventually.

I think they share the same one. See AnOnimus' post.
Chris will dig her up and have sex with the corpse, due to his autism makes him think family guy random access humor works in real life.
I think it would be impossible to so, looking at their plot, his body was burned and stored in a columbarium. Barb would most likely go through the same process.

This is what I want as the best scenario, instead of my own crass joke about her ashes being burned in Hell/Cwickville/Tartarus etc.

Damn son, you dead clever.

I assume family or even plebbitors will call in a welfare check and the cops will be the first to find the body, unless she ends up in a hospital and codes out.

It probably depends what Bob paid for while he was still alive. I seriously doubt Barb would do anything to ensure she doesn't leave a giant mess behind.

If he ends up being a hobo, I'm pretty certain that he will eventually murder someone out of frustration and spent the rest of his life behind bars. I don't think he is the type to commit suicide.

They share the same vault. Found on findagrave.com I’d imagine it’s a pre-need, so it should be paid for. Just open the vault up and slide her ashes next to Bob. I’m honestly amazed some grade A ween hasn’t tried breaking in to steal his ashes yet.
The slime who does that will have sank below the limits of regular ween and into the realm of infamy.

I wonder if columbaria have some security features to prevent that sort of thing. Like maybe they are actually opened from behind. Or those fasteners at the corners could require a special tool - they look like they have two holes at the centers, so maybe they require a spanner screwdriver to remove. That kind of screw drive is listed on Wikipedia among the tamper resistant ones.

I do agree it would be too much. Weens didn't release the black tape so I figure they won't disturb the gravesite. Maybe Sockness would be willing to try something.
