Atomic Heart - Russian BioShock-Like Soviet Diesselpunk Shooter feat. Hot Robot Twins

First hour spoiled for you!
Oh boy oh fucking boy.
So, Bioshock on average takes eight to nine minutes to get from the opening to actual gameplay on modern hardware. Just from this video alone, the opening took 26 minutes and then took another fucking seven to get to the actual area of gameplay.
And then there's the voice acting sounding like it was done by one of those outsource studios they use for Netflix original cartoons.
People were getting into autistic political slapfights over this lmao fucking stupid retards

EDIT: Horny weapons upgrade fridge that attempts tentacle rape while a guy with the best 2002 xbox game voice you heard in your life keeps going FUCK BITCH FUCK FUCK FUCK and a bunch of robots that look like department store sex offenders try to chokeslam you

I don't much mind long intros and loads of talk but I am gonna hold hearing about the gameplay itself before making a judgement call.

In other news the usual suspects are now moving to bitch and moan about "muh russia". Seems that they have tried to concern troll the official Steam discussion a lá Hogwarts Legacy. I think this picture shows the average response.

Man, why couldn't they get people with a Russian accent or something for the English version? It's immersion breaking to hear a damn American in the Soviet Union.
They paid good money for the anglophone VA's. That said they also have full voicedubs in Russian, which if what I will put the voices as if I get the game.

Yeah, if I do get the game then I will use Russian or some other voices because hearing a babushka speak in a British accent is just a bit too much for my suspension of disbelief lol.

I'm generally leery of it but if the accent/actor selection is thoughtful having characters speak in the target audience's accents can add a lot of characterization by using accent metaphors that would be lost if it was in the original language.

I played the first 3 hours.
It would be a way, way, way, better game if the people in the game would shut the fuck up! The game has great creepy atmosphere if the NPCs and others would do that! This game is most like Wolfenstein: The New Order gameplay and story wise than anything else so far. The game crashed on the first boss for me but I'm playing a pre-patched version. Totally not a review.

Is it fun? is it just firearms as your only weapon or do you get cool powers alongside? how do you upgrade any if you can at all? Is there a leveling system? Where are the loadzones? Example being if I want to go back to another zone or part of the map to get collectibles I missed, how many loading zones would I have to go through? Does the game tell you were to go and how aggressively does it tell you? Do you get annoying pop ups/MC talking about how he needs to do the objective and so on? Does the MC make quips every waking moment or does he know when to shut up?

Meh. You get powers. You can upgrade stuff. Level up enemies or yourself?Loading in elevators, fog or cut seen so seemless. Not alot in if all the way of collectables just mostly upgrade stuff. Unknown. The game wants you to go in a certain path not open world. Mostly everyone talking all the time, I highly recommend playing the audio in Russian, hope they fix this in the retail version.

Managed to find a copy of the leaked debug build, I've spent at least 5 hours in-game getting to where I am now, runs great on my machine (3060, 9th gen i7, 32 GB DDR4) However the only snag I've had is with the more open world section of the game where I had to find a item to progress which didn't count so I'm stuck in a bit of a softlock until I figure out what exactly i need to do.

That aside the game plays alright, takes some getting used to with the combat mechanics and all, I've heard that the retail version is much more balanced but there isn't much footage to go on, loading screens are pretty seamless only appearing when you die or load a save and as for backtracking I haven't tested it out extensively but you can backtrack areas from a good while back at least in the first part of the game.

You mean like how on Death of Stalin they skipped the russian accents completely and instead used accents of english to show off how different the speaking style of each corner of the USSR was? Cause I agree.
