I have experienced this with, for example, Twitch streamers who can't handle the non curated comments on the edits they post on YT. They end up shitting on the YT audience, not understanding that the only people they are actually alienating are the ones who actually watch them in the first place.

Nobody in his audience is actually enjoying this video, people who don't like him love to feel validated. This a L whichever way you look at it.

His assumption is deeply flawed - people who hate him aren't unsubscribing, they never subscribed in the first place. The people who are unsubbing are people who don't want to watch 20% effort weekly content that's often late, wrong, and done better (daily) by hundreds of other youtubers. The idea that Youtube isn't trying as hard as humanly possible to push PoC/Transgender people to the top of the list is entirely laughable - but Youtube cannot force people to watch the videos.

Even if you wanted to be a "Good Ally" and subscribe and join a "Transgender Youtuber Video Game Person" community - there's so many better ones to join and that's the real issue, he transitioned way too late to be trendy.
