It’s so crazy because if you went by the Tumblr/Twitter crowd, trans people just are being massacred left and right and can’t even leave their houses without the red aim dot showing on them. And yet I know trans people irl who just go about their day to day business living. Most trans murders we hear about are usually POC sex workers (most, not all, before Staph tries to gotcha me with the Brit who was recently killed) and we have middle class white assholes screaming about how unsafe they feel and co-opting the struggles of POC yet again rather than looking at the issues at hand, who are most in danger and how to help.
When we see POC of all types being killed all the time and all your white pasty ass can do is cry about how “unsafe” you feel because you dress in a way that’s vaguely androgynous and demand all the attention, you’re an asshole who’s only hurting the cause.

The difference between Internet Tranny and irl trans can't be overstated. I know it's totally possible to run into the internet breed out in the wild (and have, much to my dismay), but it's hilarious when you see the dissonance.
I live in a state that would probably have Stapphy LIteRaLLy ShaKInG and I've got a trans buddy who, I shit you not, is coming over later to check out the graphics of the new Harry Potter game. I had a trans coworker who casually showed me pre-transition pics on Facebook and would talk mad shit about how trans men pick names like they're on a role-playing forum and trans women pick stripper names. I don't think I've ever heard either one ever mention a thing about oh, the terror, the trials and tribulations and how JK Rowling and Trump are gonna show up on their doorstep to genocide them.

Furthermore, no trans men are not "growing prostates". There are prostate-like cells present, but they aren't actually behaving or growing in any way that would actually resemble a real prostate. Its basically the same as trans women growing breast tissue: the blue prints are already there because of how humans grow in the womb, it grows in a specific way because of the dominant hormone. You aren't getting a new organ, the body is just running a different set of commands. And research as is is not enough to determine if it does present any long-term problems or not. Eight test samples is not close to enough to determine that.
