TMI: as a long-time true crime reader plus person with a life, I learned a long time ago that many things are out of my control. They can be sad, awful, scary happenings, and sometimes there are things done by horrible people to you or those you read about. When you can’t fix it and even have no involvement, the best things is to mentally distance. So knowing I can’t save BBJ, I just accept it.

I think Chantal's #1 issue with Salah is going to be that the man has legitimate friends, partners and family ties.

Compare this to:

• James who has always been a friendless shut-in with no family worth noting
• Milan being a recent immigrant whose cultural alienation and physical separation from his family left him solitary
• Nader was much the same, only he is a lying, scamming and thieving crackhead on top of everything else.
